Giga Bowser mode not always working.

Sometimes when I try to play as Giga Bowser I'll get booted back to the character select screen after selecting a stage. It's not an issue with the stages themselves, because I've used him on those stages before. Also, whenever I go back to the character select screen it always switches my character to MK for some reason. The only way I can fix this is by restarting the game, and hoping it works.

Make sure it's happening on a clean build, no custom content,
Defrag SD
Reinstall

If you are holding L+R+A when loading a stage it will send you back to the CSS like in melee. The cursor going over to MK after giga bowser is a known issue.
