Giga Bowser just won't run out of stamina

When using the Giga Bowser Easter egg on stamina mode he will not run out of stamina with any attack capable of reducing his health to zero doing no damage to him. So one can do damage to him but not if it will kill him.
It occurs when either I or the cpu are playing as him and no other special effects are active. Additionally I am using the No wifi homebrew version of the mod.
