Smash Fight Club 33! The premiere Houston weekly!

Customs are back??? That's right! We are running a side event (capped at 32 entrants) of 3 stock 8 minutes... CUSTOM LEGAL SINGLES!

This event will be held at the University of Houston main campus! Here is a detailed map. It is going to be held in the University Classroom and Business building room 104




STREAMED LIVE for the internet to see on the Smash United twitch channel!
With the videos uploaded to the Smash United youtube channel!

PLEASE NOTE THE START TIMES!
1:00 p.m. - The Smash United Team begins setting up
1:30 p.m. - Registration begins
2:30 p.m. - Custom Legal Singles
4:00 p.m. - Vanilla Singles


EVENT FEES:
$5 Venue fee ($3 if you are a UH smash club member)
$5 Custom Legal 1v1
$5 Vanilla 1v1


Venue fee is waived for bringing a TV+Wii U+Sm4sh+GC Adapter with everything (except ALL DLC, but DLC preferred) needed unlocked. Wii U MUST be updated to current format.

NO SETUP CAP!
PLEASE BRING SETUPS for the event to run properly and quickly, as well as to snag the venue waive. Laggy monitors sadly, will not get the venue waive. So keep that in mind. (Asus/benq monitors etc are always a safe bet)

PAYOUT (100% payout of event fees)

1-39 entrants
1st: 55%
2nd: 25%
3rd: 12%
4th: 8%

40 entrants+
1st: 50%
2nd: 20%
3rd: 12%
4th: 8%

5th: 5%
5th: 5%

RULESET

1v1

Neutrals:

- BattleField/Miiverse (meaning if you strike one, you strike both)
- Smashville
- Town and City
- Lylat Cruise
- Final Destination

Counterpicks:


- DreamLand 64
- Castle Siege
- Delfino Plaza
- Halberd
- Duck Hunt
- Any Omega (striking this also strikes FD)
- Umbra clocktower
^ we will be experimenting with this stage, it staying for future SFCs is tentative.


Stage Striking Order:
1-2-pick for the first round. (RPS for first ban if need be)
2 bans for the winner of each round

3 stocks
8 minute time limit
Items set to "Off" and "None"
Team attack ON in doubles
Equipment is banned
Custom moves are banned (except for the 2:30pm Custom legal singles bracket)
Pausing results in a stock loss, unless it is for the opposing player's controller malfunction.

Yep it's the Sunday weekly for Houston. If you want to see what these events are like, there are previous SFC tournament vods up on the Smash United youtube channel.
I am most likely going to come to the Tourney, But i have one question.

Are there restrictions to controllers? If there are, is the Fight Pads allowed? http://www.gamestop.com/wii-u/accessories/wii-u-fight-pad-controller-metal-mario/122314 < Link for reference.

They plug in to a Wii Mote, If i bring my own Wiimote could i use it?

Sorry for not responding. I missed this. Those controllers are definitely A-ok. Hope you had a great time! Also remember we do this every Sunday and it's the biggest weekly in Houston! Here is SFC34's event page.
