EXPosure 14 continuted the school-is-in-session trend of smaller attendance at monthly events. Fortunately, we had some amazing games to make up for it, including Bieber making a run at Kels, Ripple committing to DK in Melee, and Lazarond finally making his long heralded return to Link in Project M.

In Melee, Kels looked clean, as we all expect him to leading up to a big tournament(The Big House 4 if you've been living under a rock). Ripple's DK had given his Fox some trouble at SMYM15, but Kels' Sheik made quick work of it in winner's quarters before dispatching Bieber 3-1 in winner's finals. Vro continued to show improvement with his Falco, the ICs player Fluid from CA made top 8, and ORLY/TGD made their staple appearances towards the later end of the bracket.

The real surprise came in Grand Finals, where Bieber managed to reset the bracket against Kels rather cleanly before succumbing to a close 3-2 in the second set that came down to a last stock situation on FoD. Hats off, Bieber looked really good.

Everyone expected big things from the return of the Lazarond's Hylian adventurer, but he ran into a bit of trouble in winner's quarters in the form of Ripple's Dedede. After a convincing game one defeat, Laz was forced to switch to Toon Link once again and camp out Ripple just enough to squeak a game 2 victory and eventually wear down the giant penguin in game 3. ORLY and Plasma both had great tournament performances as well, finishing 3rd and 4th respectively and putting on a couple of great sets in both winner's quarters and loser's semifinals.

At the tip of the bracket, however, the results stayed consistent; Kels vs. Lazarond in PM GFs. Laz reset the bracket in 5, and looked primed to take the second set to a game 5 as well, but Kels put together a solid last runaway fox stock and managed to close it out.

All told, the story of this monthly was that KELS BE SLIPPIN but not quite enough to lose yet :^)

Once again, I don't have specific placings for everyone who didn't make it out of pools, because those results were done by hand offline. Sorry! Only bracket results.
