Titans Reunite - Hidden Heroes Rise
Nairo, Dabuz, Tweek, ANTi, Salem, Hyuga, and 6WX all met just one week ago at Shots Fired 2 for some explosive matches. There is room for these players to potentially have a stronger showing as several international threats from Japan and Europe that attended Shots Fired will not be present for this event. Nairo has a lot on the line at this event. Will we see Hyuga take him down as he did at Genesis 3? Salem will be looking to prove his win against Nairo at KTAR XVII, which gave Nairo his lowest placement in tournament since Apex 2010, was not a fluke.
Will players Get Exposed by Angel Cortes this weekend? He hasn't had a powerful showing at a large event since KTAR XVI in early January but his he's still got a dangerous Diddy Kong to work with. Another player who isn't seen as often is Atomsk. His occasional surprise showings at events are always interesting as he brings a combination of Dr. Mario, King Dedede, and Little Mac onto the stage with great gusto and always manages to place well.
Raptor has been known as a Yoshi specialist since the days of Brawl and he is one of the best Yoshi players in this newest installment. He outplaced 6WX, Nairo, and Dabuz (albeit the latter two weren't using their mains) at KTAR XVII and has had time to improve since then. Tied with him at that same tournament was Pugwest, another character specialist who uses Marth as is considered among the best Marth mains in Smash 4. In a cool twist of fate another of the best Marths in the game, Mr. E, will also be in attendance after a 3rd place at GUMS 6 recently. Also keep an eye out for C3PO, currently ranked the best player in Central Pennsylvania.
Characters Used By Top Players Attending
Range may be the name of the game at this tournament. Three characters with large swords with Cloud and Marth might be able to space out the many characters that need to get up close of which there are several signed up. Toon Link also will be interesting, can projectile zoning keep up with so many heavy rush down characters in attendance? Only time will tell.
Swordies vs Spacies - Melee
Hax has recently been making a comeback as of late and was able to bring home a strong 3rd place finish at Shots Fired 2 last weekend. However, the man who eliinated him, The Moon, will also be coming back for this event. With no Gods like Mew2King on the horizon which player will take the rematch? DJ Nintendo, who took 5th at the same event, will be looking to do better this weekend and prove himself against the competition. Chillindude will also be coming out to a larger event for the first time in a while. Can The Moon take on this sea of Foxes with his Marth, or will we see a top 3 of all Fox? With EmuKiller's Marth there as well it looks to be a battle of Swordies vs Spacies.
