There's nothing to be genuinely worried about, this is something I just wanted to point out to you guys so you don't manage to freeze yourself by sheer fluke. I can't imagine this happening in an actual tournament because it requires both players to cause the glitch, which means it'll pretty much only happen on accident.

Basically, if Diddy's up-throw gets interrupted by something (I haven't pinned down the reason why certain attacks freeze Diddy while others don't), usually a projectile, Diddy will freeze in place. This isn't like Melee's Ice Climbers freeze glitch, as soon as you get tapped by any attack or forced into your falling animation, the glitch ends and you regain control of your character. The unfortunate thing is that this glitch might happen against a Snake, and he has a pretty strong move to punish it <_<

Here's a list of what I've (with some help) got so far:

    WORKS
    Link (Gale Boomerang) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soCys07R94Q
    Toon Link (Boomerang) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPCpR-ZyYYs
    Snake (Mortar) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBPuNSOO5ok
    Peach (Turnip) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13tpF7lB5qg
    ROB (Gyro) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAmXhdhD3-A
    Yoshi (Egg Toss) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-ABlSor7_I
    Game and Watch (Bacon) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTk8_rOiFio
    Ice Climbers (Popo/Nana interfering) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nW-VeWbCkZk
3rd character (I don't have a video, but this SHOULD work if you can space an attack so it only hits Diddy and doesn't touch the character being thrown. Or have team attack off.)

    UNTESTED
Ness/Lucas (PK Thunder) (I haven't gotten a second person to help test this with me, it's near impossible to do by myself >_>)

    DOESN'T WORK:
Snake (Grenade) - I'm pretty sure this doesn't work. It might have something to do with the grenade affecting both players.
Snake (Nikita) - It seems like the up-throw is hitting the deactivated missile and preventing it from exploding until it reaches the ground, which is similar to how it acts when hit by normal attacks.
Link/Toon Link (Bomb) - I'm assuming for the same reasons as Snake and Grenade.
Diddy Kong (Banana) - Forces a trip instead.
Pikachu (Thunder) - I honestly have no idea.
Dedede (Waddle Doo) - Even if this DOES freeze Diddy, he gets hit by an additional hit from the beam and will be broken out of it immediately
Pit (Arrow loop) - UndrDog tried to get this to work but couldn't.

Honestly, I don't think the glitch poses any real threat. I'm not sure how often you guys use your up-throw, but here's a good reason not to.

****. Oh well, like you said, it's something that could happen, but would never stay at the forefront of one's mind.

Does anyone ever use uthrow at all? I always use fthrow or bthrow if they're at killing % and dthrow if they're not.
