Tomorrow is tournament day for Brawl/PSA/Pokemon(X&Y) at Texadelphia. Please be at the venue by 10am to set-up, sign-up and practice. We start at 11am. I will be doing Brawl, Tristan will be doing PSA and Sync will be doing Pokemon.

Houston has been chosen to host a MLG sanctioned Brawl/PM event this coming May 3rd-4th. It will be WHOBO: MLG Special Edition. By going to this, you will receive MLG points for seeding at other MLG events/chapionships. We will be also be receiving top notch advertisement thanks to MLG's website and stream (mlg.tv) so expect this event to be big. I might be hosting a Brawl tourney in like March. Tyler TX holds a Brawl tournament monthly, most of us carpool. If you live in Dallas it should only be an hour drive from you. Not sure how far you want to drive but there is one March 8th I believe.

Actually, I might, key word might, do another Fort Worth Classic. Details are being hammered out as we speak. However, I think that with Smash 4 coming out, the tournament will focus on that game instead of the usual Brawl, Melee, PM and 64 like it did the last time. I'll know something within the next week or two.

Texas Showdown is April 4th-6th! Featuring SSBM and SSBPM (Which will be on friday). Anybody interested in coming? I know the venue isn't cheap ($40 online, $50 at the door), but this is a great opportunity to show PM and melee off to the traditional FGC. yeah the OK tourney is happening but tx showdown is an fgc major, which means this is a good opportunity to help get pm and melee more recognized by those guys. this tournament will probably be a lot more relevant for melee because its in houston, so all the good tx players will probably be there. Oklahoma is close ish for us but its 7 hours from san antonio/austin/houston, so those players probably will not be coming to oklahoma

5 more days until online registration ends for WHOBO MLG Houston. You can still register (pay venue fee) at the door but it will be 40$ instead of 30$.

Some key things to remember:
AirBrushKing is donating a 100$ pot bonus to Melee and i am donating 100$ pot bonus to Brawl. No promises but we are working on a pot bonus for PM.

Melee gets MLG seeding points for the MLG 2014 championships in Anaheim. The top 32 players in Melee 1vs1 get these points. To claim them you must register at https://accounts.majorleaguegaming.com/account/new

There will be a trophy for Brawl and medals for all events (melee/PM/Brawl/ssb64)

Please bring a full set-up we really need them. Free drink vouchers and some custome smash posters are available to the first wave of people who bring full set-ups (wii/ssbb+ssbm/tv).

So I just started playing Melee on Dolphin and I tried out netplay today after learning the game for a couple weeks against AI. It really seems laggy and counterproductive. But I'm pretty hooked so I want to play this game offline.

Can I use this to get in touch with people/groups in the Dallas area that play offline? I'm not really looking to join any tourneys yet since I've only played the game for 2 weeks, but I'd like to find some people to play with so I can keep learning.
