Custom Moveset Project Releases Summer 2015 Edition

Since the announcement that Evo 2015 will be running the Smash Wii U tournament with customs on, many other tournaments have begun adopting customs as well to prepare for the big event. One of the things that made this widely possible was the Custom Moveset Project. Created by Smashboards user @Amazing Ampharos the goal of the initial release was "to make custom moves logistically practical for tournament play" and it certainly managed that. Every character board on Smashboards was asked to give inputs on the best sets of customs for their character so that they could be listed for those with a 3DS who could transfer them to each console at the beginning of events.

With Evo 2015 around the corner and the meta game for Smash 4 changing everyone was asked to come together again top give input on which sets of customs moves should be used. This time @Amazing Ampharos and a counsel consisting of @Thinkaman , @John12346 , @NinjaLink and @TheReflexWonder sat down to look at all of the sets presented to come up with the final list. The project alongside custom moves also covers the implementation of Miis as well. The list of the new movesets is collapsed below.

What are you talking about? Customs will be the thing that keeps Smash4 from becoming stale in the future. The insane variety of matchups is so cool and interesting.
If you don't LIKE customs, don't play with them. I don't plan on it, but I still support whole-heartedly. Just more slightly tweaked match-ups you gotta get used to.

Flame Choke into Dark Fist in my opinion the coolest combo from Ganondorf. As for Dropkick is good for edgeguarding, since he doesn't risk much with it, positioning himself in air for good air attacks.

EDIT: 2322 is good as well if you want to deflect some of the projectiles with Flame Chain. Quite tricky though since Ganondorf will lose the grab, which encourage players to block his attack and punish Ganondorf with their own grab.

There will never EVER be a game with variety and perfect balence. The goal is to make it as varied as possible without being unbalanced. It's just giving characters more options.

This is just for large tournaments where the Wii Us don't have everything unlocked. Bringing your own 3DS to upload your own custom set at applicable tournaments is encouraged, but EVO disallows it. If the Wii U has everything unlocked you should be allowed to pick your own customs seeing as how it takes ~5 seconds

Anyway, I think you'll find the Project covers basically all of what you would want

You could at least be grateful that AA and the others spent long nights compiling these sets, evaluating and re-evaluating them, talking to all 51 character boards, etc. All for the benefit of tournament-attending players like yourself. You can complain all you want but they took action because they knew it needed to happen. Like it or not, the majority of tournaments are going to start following this model.

Abuse the absurd customs and ignore the sucky ones. That's the smart thing to do. Doesn't sound much different from character balance
