cBliss & ASL for Project M 3.6 Kit

Many thanks go out to libertyernie for providing the template I built this off of.

SOMEONE FINALLY DID IT! It took me quite a bit of time and effort but in the process of my own build, I threw together a kit that adds both cBliss and the Alternate Stage Loader to Project M 3.6 FULL. I know the picture below has Warioware instead of Warioland, it's fixed in the download.

Credit to the entire PMDT, libertyernie, Ondo, and the original creator of cBliss (to my knowledge) ASF1nk

Simply follow the instructions in the zip (if you disregard the instructions you will absolutely screw up your custom build).
IF YOU DONT HAVE A COSTUME IN PLACE (BOTH PCS & PAC) FOR ALL SLOTS, YOU RUN THE RISK OF FREEZING YOUR WII

All characters have 10 costume slots (the most that can be added without getting into further costume slot wizardry). Took Link, Rob, Ganondorf and Sonic have 11.
Costumes are ordered numerically 00-09(10), so the CSP order will be the costume order, finally.

Most stages have an alt that can be chosen with L, Y (or Z, Final Destination only).

3 ALTS: Final Destination

2 ALTS: Green Greens, Brinstar, Yoshi's Island (Melee), Rainbow Cruise, Mario Kart, 75m

1 ALT: Distant Planet, Pirate Ship, Green Hill Zone, Ice Mountain, Warioware, Training Room, Skyworld, Electroplankton, Pokemon Stadium 2, Lylat Cruise, Rumble Falls, Mushroomy Kingdom, Bridge of Eldin, Corneria, Pokemon Stadium, Delfino Plaza, Temple, Battlefield, Shadow Moses Island, Jungle Japes, New Pork City, Yoshi's Island (Brawl), Castle Siege, Big Blue, Mario Bros., 75m

How do the portraits relate to the costumes in Costume Manager for things like Green link and red mario?

Think you can do the same thing for the FULL 3.6 version please? (since 3.6 FULL has added a bit more stuff)
Too scared to do it myself as I feel I might freeze the game without knowing the problem :p
Speaking of freezing, will the game freeze if all characters have 14 costumes each? I notice that some don't even have extra slots.

It's the full, I'll edit the thread title when I get off mobile So I guess I cant edit the thread title? Mods, feel free to change it to 3.6 FULL

And to end the speculation and misinformation once and for all, the only changes to 3.6s menu between the beta and full release were the addition of WarioLand. It's correct in the download.

This is awesome. Do you happen to have just the cbliss codes with the costume slot fixes? Digging through the GCT for it could get messy.

One thing to keep in mind is even if you add these codes to your GCT (please make back-ups), you will need to run it through the cBliss tool and save your GCT from every character's Edit menu for it to take. Sometimes it will give you a read error (its a lot of code), just try again and make backups every time it saves successfully. Diddy, Ice Climbers, Wolf, Wario, Mewtwo and Olimar have 2nd team colors, you may want to edit those for your build. I'm in the process of uploading my own build as I type.

Perfect, thanks! And regarding stock icons, they're all working fine for expanded slots?

Great job! This will help so many folks out. Really wish I had waited a bit to start my 3.6 build because I could be using all this hahaha!

For another thing, if it's not too much trouble, could you do a version with only one alt stage per stage, and reduce the stage count at least enough that the icons can be normal sized? I'm gonna add more characters eventually so this is killing me. LOL

I already mentioned in the OP I'm not making another pack. The idea is that you build your own using this pack. My advice is use the 12 or 16 stage pack and make all the extra icons your build wont be using 4x4 and transparent. That should give you enough filesize headway to use regular sized icons. Trust me, I'm crying too about having to downsize pictures, I kept all the originals on my computer in case anybody figures out how to reduce file size another way.

I noticed while going through it with the costume manager that you have a fair number of quality CSPs that I am unfamiliar with. Where in the world did you get them from?

Also, should I be using the cBliss order setting or the outdated PM 3.5 setting? All of the results screen and battle portraits are pretty out of whack so I couldn't help but wonder if the costume order was changed at all.

So, im using 3.6 and +36 version. The problem is that "insert the disk" error pops up after title screen. I doubt its because of file size because i don't have every character with 10 colors. Only some of them. So, is there any way to fix this? I used all files from the folders in projectm folder.

If I wanted to simply use the CBliss portion of your build on vanilla PM, would I just use the projectm folder included and use M22K's cbliss tool to edit the .gct file?

Use the cBliss order, everything is numbered in numerical order to make organization a much easier task on you. IE: FitSonic10 will load from Sonic's 10th CSP. The CSP's you've never seen are very likely custom by me :estatic:

Your disk/drive is screwed up. Nothing to do with this pack.

This is built on vanilla PM. You can edit the gct with cBliss, but the only thing you could conceivably do is reduce the amount of costume slots, since I maxed them out for you

EDIT: I'm sorry, I'm wrong, You are correct, that's indeed what you would need to do. The only addendum is that I advise you order your characters 00>01>02>03 etc using the cBliss Tool or the CSPs in the pack will not match your character slots.

Love this! I'll consider using this as a Base for the revived Patt Edition I'm working on. Is the Brawl Stage, Song and Character manager compatible with this build? or with 3.6 in general, any tips to using those programs to customize this build?

By any chance do you have issues with Sonic's last costume's stock icons? And by last costume I mean whatever is actually the last one in code, not slot 10. For some reason, the stock icon on this slot is always weird colors in-game, but shows up fine in the single player menu and results screen. Something with the info.pac, but I have no idea.

Ironically, in my build in the other thread, I have Metal Sonic as my 10 slot, so you can see in the in-game previews it works fine, BUT to answer your question, that happens sometimes when you're replacing files, just go back to the icon in question and re-replace it, should fix that issue.

I've seen that before in Brawlbox, when it looks really weird and replacing it fixes it, but the thing is it looks completely fine in BB and replacing it didn't change a thing. I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe it's an issue with the stock icon itself? I'll try a different one and see if that changes things.

On another note, have you been able to successfully put an alt on STGGW that uses a different module file? I've been having no luck whatsoever; whatever stage is on the primary slot works fine, but no alts work (even if I swap two stages that both work!). Checked with the ASL tool and everything seems fine.

This is awesome, thank you so much for doing this!

Just a small problem, the last three slots for Giga Bowser freeze the game because there is no Battle Portrait for those last three costumes, I tried copy and pasting infface447 and renaming it as infface448, infface449 and infface450 however that still didn't work. I'm not quite sure what the solution would be to fix this, I'm guessing perhaps the cBliss code needs to be added to Giga Bowser as well so it can read infface448 etc., however I'm not too sure.

Bowser is generally not working for me. I can select his costume and stuff, but the game won't load if pick a stage when I have selected stage. Is there something special I need to do with him if I am just using the cbliss portion of your kit? If not, I don't know what I screwed it up though. Every spot has a costume and a portrait + stock icon to go along with it.

Check your Giga Bowser slots. Those need to be filled out too.

Thank you so much! So many great packs will come out of this, you really did a great thing for the community.

EDIT:
I noticed quite a few characters still have a second set of team colours, not sure if you were planning on taking them out for the clean build since you did with a few other characters. (DK, Mewtwo, Olimar, Ice Climbers, Wolf, Diddy, and of course Wario.) Easy enough to fix on my end with cBliss tool but thought I'd let you know.

I am also getting the last stock icon problem with Sonic. I was just testing with Sonic since he is one of the few that had 11 costumes, but his costume (10) stock icon is messed up during battle, and after battle stock icons don't show up at all for slots that aren't included in PM (08, 09, and 10).

I wouldnt even begin to know how to add that last functionality. As for that final stock problem, I can only attribute it to perhaps not using the correct compression for your final image. Again, everything works fine on my end (and this build is built DIRECTLY from the exact same files I used in my own.

I did some work and it seems that for some reason, the supplied Sonic stocks for extra slots have bad palettes. Deleting the current textures and importing new ones fixed this for me. I believe Giga Bowser has the same issue.

Thank you very much for this! I wasn't able to do cbliss because I was on a Mac, but thanks to this, I can!

Can you help a noob out? What do I do with those codes? I can't seem to get his whole build on a 2GB and all the extra stages just make the game crash. It'd be great just to use his codes for extra costumes. Thank you.

Having an issue with this.
When I open it with Brawl Costume Manager everything thing gets thrown out of place and super-screwy. Example wise, I'm finding Mario with mismatching portraits (ie, his blue costume alt has his green costume alt portraits) and on his last two slots (blue and green Dr. Mario), it shows up blank with only Donkey Kong's stock icons...
Help?
