Smash Journeyman
Celtic Crown Public House weeklies are in Chicago, IL. Smash 4 2v2's begin at 1 pm, Melee singles begin at 2 pm, Smash 4 and PM singles begin at 3 pm, and the Smash 4 Amateur Bracket will begin once we reach the top 8 for Smash 4.
We are adding a $250 pot bonus for Smash 4 and $150 pot bonus for Melee right off the bat for the circuit.
Here is the new breakdown for circuit points:
If 12 or more players participate:
1st place gets 12 points 2nd place gets 9 points 3rd place gets 7 points 4th place gets 5 points 5th place each get 3 points 7th place each get 2 point
Each player also gets 2 additional points for participating. If less than 12 participate, 1st gets 4 points, 2nd gets 2 points, and 3rd gets 1 point extra while every player gets 2 additional points for participating. 50 points is needed to qualify for the finale for Smash 4 and 40 points for Melee since there is no Amateur Bracket option for Melee.
The Amateur Bracket will also get you additional points for participating.
1st place gets 6 points 2nd place gets 4 points 3rd place gets 2 points
Each top 3 players and all participants in the Amateur Bracket also get 1 additional point. Amateur brackets will be held on Sundays and Thursdays only.
There may or may not be a qualifier tournament again so don't count on that to get you in the circuit finale. The final pot bonus should reach over $1000 for Smash 4 and top 8 will get paid. Look for the finale to be sometime in mid November.
