Smash Around Back is canceled for the foreseeable future.

Weekly Smashfest in Easton, PA
Melee, PM, & Wii U

Do you live in or around the Lehigh Valley?
Do you want to train against other skilled Smashers?
Then join us for Smash Around Back!

I hold this smashfest every Sunday at my house, starting @ 1:00 pm.
There's no fee for coming over to play friendlies and train.
But we do a $1 per person tournament if we get 8 or more people.
Please bring your own controllers.

We have 5 setups:
  • 2 Melee
  • 2 Project: M
  • 1 Smash for Wii U
There's space for a few more so you're welcome to bring your own setups.

Since it's held at my house currently, I don't want to put the address on the forum.
If you would like to join us, start a conversation with me and I'll send you the address.
There's only enough room for up to 20 people, so message me early if you want to be sure to get a spot.

Is the tournament just singles or is it also doubles? If so I want to enter both.

So far we have been doing $1 round robin singles. Once we get enough people we'll probably switch to double elimination and add team battles.

Absolutely, The more setups and match recording the better.

Just keep in mind that I have cable internet (which has terrible upload speed), so only one setup will be able to live stream on twitch.

But as far as just recording matches, the more the merrier!

whaddup man?! i'm from kutztown. i have off sunday. this was meant to be! if you wanna PM me your address here i will definitely come up with my buddy. we are training on melee. and i have played 64 for like a decade.

With Wii U/3DS having just come out, would you consider running those as tournaments? And what are the sizes of these tournaments? Thanks!

We will definitely be playing Smash 4 Wii U/3DS, but we only do tourneys if 8 or more people want to compete. Typically there are between 5 to 10 smashers that show up each week, so usually it's more of a smashfest than a tournament. But sometimes we get 15 to 20 people.

Hi, I've just recently gotten interested in the competitive Smash scene. I live about an hour away. I can't attend tomorrow, but I'd be interested in future events. I do have a question about that though. I don't have Smash for Wii U, but I do have it for 3DS. Would it be all right to use my 3DS as a controller? That's what I do at my friends' houses and I'm pretty sure it would be fine, but I just wanted to make sure.

I live in town, really happy to see other Smashers here :)

I don't know if I'll be able to make it, but if I can't, we'll have to have another event in the future. I have a Melee and Smash 4 setup, and a Wii with Brawl/Project M, but no TV to go with it (1 CRT, 1 HDTV, 3 consoles).

I'll post here later tonight or tomorrow if I can make it :D

As long as you don't see a post on this thread saying it's cancelled this weekend, we're here every Sunday.

That reminds me...
March 1st, Smash Around Back is cancelled.
We are going to be at Shots Fired here in Easton.
It's a national tournament hosted by Easton Smash. They're running Melee, Project M, and Smash 4, with over 200 entrants, and some of the best players in the country!

Hmm so how many people show up for smash 4 anyway? Like am assuming this is still a thing? Seems interesting since i live about 45mins away from Easton. However I usually work till 1 on Sundays so that'd mean i'd probably be like an hour or so late :/
