Texas Showdown is the premier Texas fighting game tournament! From its original arcade roots at the University of Houston, to Austin for SxSW, to the famed Stargate arcade, and as a part of Anime Matsuri, Texas Showdown has always tried to set the tournament standard in Texas. Texas Showdown was established in 2000 and is one of the older known tournaments in the country. Founded by Chris Chou and Javier Moreno after the original Japan vs. USA tournament in 1999, the tournament was catered to people in the Texas community and surrounding states but grew into an event that people from all over the country would all enjoy. This year, Xyro will be the lead Tournament Organizer for Smash 4 while Krebs, from Smash United, will be streaming as well as co-TOing.

As the site of this year's Texas Showdown, The Sheraton Brookhollow will be hosting the event in their 8,000 sq. ft Grand Ballroom, which is almost double the size of last year's venue!
Now when it comes to the hotel, each of the 382 guest rooms, including 82 Club Level rooms and 14 suites, showcases the latest Sheraton innovations. Enjoy complimentary High Speed Internet Access, a flat screen television, and a spacious work desk with an ergonomic chair. Upgrade to the Club Level for exclusive access to the Club Lounge, which offers complimentary breakfast Monday through Friday, and afternoon hors d’oeuvres and beverage options Monday through Thursday. **Events, Rules and Schedule**
The following Smash 4 events are confirmed for Texas Showdown. Please be at the designated Smash 4 area 30 min before the event start time. You will be DQed if you are late. No exceptions.
Friday (4/22/2016) from 7pm-11:59pm
Smash 4 teams bracket begins. Will stop at top 8.
Saturday (4/23/2016) from 11am to 11:59pm
Smash 4 Singles pools/bracket begins. Will stop at top 8.
Sunday 4/23/2016) from 11am until finish.

The official TX Showdown Smash 4 rule-set is also the TGC rule-set. Please read carefully. It is your responsibility to know and understand the rules of the event before attending.

**Registration, Discounts and Payout**
If you wish to register for Smash 4 singles or Smash 4 doubles, please go HERE! If you wish to spectate, you can purchase a spectator badge at the door the day of the event.
"Early Bird" Venue Fee= $35. Increases to $45 after Feb 14th 2016.
Smash 4 Singles= $15 per person
Smash 4 Doubles= $20 ($10 per person)
Texas Showdown requires additional consoles and equipment for Smash 4. So here is what we will offer you: the first 20 players who pay the "Early Bird" Venue Fee AND brings a WiiU+Smash 4 disc+adapter to Texas Showdown will be refunded their entire early bird venue fee after the completion of the tournament day. If still under the 20 console requirement by Feb 15th 2016, we will offer HALF a refund to anyone who pay the venue fee AND brings a WiiU+Smash 4 disc+ adapter. Remember, you will get your refund after the completion of the tournament day.

*Very important note, for every 5 players who enter Smash 4 Singles, Texas Showdown will throw in 25$ dollars as a pot bonus. The limit is a $1,000 pot bonus. So, please invite your friends to this event!
