    NorCal Regionals is once again offering Melee and an opportunity to get seeding points for the big bracket at EVO! We had a great turnout last year even though we had a really short notice, and I hope we can get well above 100 this year.

    8-10AM: Check in
    10AM-12PM: Warmups
    12PM Singles bracket pools wave 1 begin
    2PM Singles bracket pools wave 2 begin
    2PM Doubles signups closes; again, doubles is a side tournament that will be organized on-site, pay total teams fee with cash in person before 2PM.
    4PM Singles bracket round 2 until top 8
    6PM Doubles bracket until end
    10PM Clean-up/shut-down

    Sunday:

    Rules:
    Apex ruleset (https://www.apex-series.com/rules/melee/) with the following modifications:
    DK64 is not a legal doubles stage.

    SCHEDULE UPDATE:

    Friday:
    No tournament matches but we will have plenty of space for friendlies and anyone who paid the venue fee is welcome to go in there and play until the venue closes for the night

    Saturday:
    Tentative schedule posted above is 90% official now.

    Sunday:
    Top 8 will be streamed and begins at 1pm.

    So I'm fairly new to big tournaments, please bear with me. Venue fee is the cost just to enter the place, whether or not you are competing, right? Thank you!

    You are correct. :) You pay a separate fee to enter a particular tournament.

    If you only want to spectate, the fee is $10 for all 3 days. I'll add that info to the OP.

    How is this going for Smash so far entrants-wise, Hyuga? Or, do you not have access to that info as of yet?

    I don't have that info, I might be able to get it if I ask though. Just as a point of comparison in case I do get the numbers, The Next Episode ended up with about 145 singles entrants, but 2 weeks before the event we were at like 25.
