Accidental Float

Wavedash with Peach is tricky business at first. I can wavedash with Luigi just fine but with Peach sometimes I float. How do I master the wavedash with Peach without floating?

Basically when you press diagonally on the control stick, you need to have let go of X/Y. So:

Jump
Let go
Airdodge

If you're holding jump when you press diagonally, you'll float.

You can also just try to short hop into all of your wavedashes. When I first started I had this same problem, but I started to just flick the jump button before wavedashing rather than pressing it down all of the way and it fixed my problem. It also allowed me to get the hang of perfect wavedashes faster.
