First of all, I want to thank everyone for coming. The tournament was super awesome to run and I have no complains because everything ran so smoothly, except for when Tio crapped out on us so I had to hand-draw the doubles bracket myself. Therefore, I apologize for any possible bracket imbalances other people ran into. Without further adieu...

What I learned at the tournament.. was to be humble again. It just feels like I restarted all over again... getting 5th place in doubles with Matt feels exactly like STYD 1 in Melee lol. And i also realized that my experience in melee, well it does help with spacing and all that but.. it doesn't help at all with stage counter picks and what to ban exactly.. and also what to do vs hard match-ups..

Well I guess I'm gonna have to re-learn everything. Somehow this tournament made me want to practice a bit more...

Edit: Just like with Ganon in melee, I learned how to deal with every hard match-ups easily. I will do it with Ike now.. I will become an Ike specialist!

Just because this was from the other thread:

Pound Cake
"Wow, a minute before the pom-pom boy came steamrolling in.
Anyways, I had a lot of fun. Rion was awesome :3.

Someone should make a Ganondorf-Team Tourney one day. EPIC"

Thank you Pound! :) I appreciate your encouragement. Though I am sorry about being a terrible team battle partner, haha. Plus I think I may get too into the game when I start adding my own voice track ( which I am also sorry about ^^; ).

Overall, this being my first tournament was really fun! I had such a great time~ I really hope that this event can be replicated soon in the future.

A few things to shout out:

- System Failure, our rather epic same percentage, same stock thing was so funny ! To explain, in pools we both had the same % and 1 stock when the timer ran out, so we had to redo the match with 1 stock to see who would take the victory (since we also were 1-1 match wise). Diddy is always so scary to face for me, and you were quite a challenge~ thank you for the fun and heart attack inducing, match, haha. And also thank you for being able to host such a great tournament.

- Bento, for being such a nice guy to me. Thanks for offering to get me food while I was still doing pools ;_; I appreciate it (this thanks also goes to the guys who let me take food too). Although you didn't get past pools, I really hope you stick with Peach and try to drive on through with her! You can punish those high tier foos~ jabjab! :embarrass

- Pound Cake for being such a funny guy~ though he sure liked to pick on me a lot ; ; I hope I'll see you at the weekly coming up soon!

- And like the tournament newbie that I am, I only now realize the scariness of Snake and Meta Knight. Ally's Snake kind of schooled my poor, poor Zelda (You and your shielding all my DSmashes with your frame-like reflexes, haha!) though apparently I didn't do too bad against him in my pool; instead of being utterly destroyed I only got partially destroyed  Though I also got pretty beaten up by KingAce's Meta Knight too (Meta Knight and Luigi's Mansion. What the hell was I thinking?!). Those two are some pretty tough and skilled players...

- To the other Zelda player, TestRider/Son! We should have had an epic Zelda ditto match ; ; Oh well, maybe next time? I didn't even get to play you once. :(

- Oh Halberd, how you have traumatized me :dizzy:. Just ask FOX's Marth, haha. I kinda screwed up pretty bad there...

Once again, thank you to everyone for making this such a great event. I really had so much fun and definitely feel a lot more experienced as a Smash player! I hope next year this tournament will be up and running again~

Was awesome, ally props to you again, but I still got 1 question for you.

All day long ive been corrected by so many people about how to say your name, first i pronounced it Ally(as in an ally or a friend), then aly(ali as pronounciation), then again ally, then again aly, WHICH IS IT????

Oh and great stuff at tourney, full of success and epic fail for some >.> But im happy with my tournament rankings, but il be playing online a lot more i guess now.
