This is the Peach Video and Information Thread. Anything you wish to find out about Peach in Brawl You should be able to find it here. All her advanced moves, and new advanced moves and more are listed here and explained throughly by pros, and People who went to E 4 all.
In this thread you can view all the recent videos of Peach in brawl from the demo. I'll list as many as I can find including the one from SSE. Most of these will come from the video thread
from the general Brawl Discussion area. Credit will go to Arvman for posting these.
Also if anyone else finds any videos on Peach from the Brawl demo, post it here. I'll update.

Info update Peach's USmash has a Sweet spot. I did it on one of my friends and it killed them a 105 percent. Absolutely awesome. I now know where her sweet spot is. It's still inside her shoulder pad but it's a lot harder to reach now. When she does her Usmash her arm is aligned with her body. Mean that it's completely straight. Her sweet spot is inside her body. Her shoulder pad in the middle. Meaning that someone has to be pretty close to you or pass through (like running past you or something) for you to sweet spot them. I think it might be easier to use if you use Peach's front to do the move. You can't use her back to apply this anymore. that all I really know right now.

Info update 2 Toad can Kill!!!! At high percentages he is a monster. Toad will have some usefulness.

Info Update 3 Abuse the Peach bomber. off the edge it Kills like crazy. Marth can't stand up to it. I keep killing him with it. Timing is key though, but this move is excellent especially at high percentages.

Info update 4 Peach can Chain grab Fox. I've only tried it on Fox. I need to try on some other characters as well. It works like this, Grapple - Toss Down (They should end up on the opposite side of you) -Turn around quickly - Repeat Process.

Info update 5 I've been Messing around with Peach and found a pretty fast and effective way to use her Nair. It like in Melee But a lot harder. In Melee you could run - insta Float - and Nair Quickly and smoothly. In brawl you can do the same thing but it way harder, and is going to take some getting use to. Here's the easiest way to preform it.

Run - While running, move the control stick diagonally down. You should be able to still run. With this it's should be easier to enter the insta float - insta float - Nair. If done correctly you should be able to Nair without leaving the ground. It should come out quickly and Smoothly. Also note you don't want to do this too qiuckly as you may mess up. Espeacially when your about to Float and Nair. Take you time doing that. When your use to it it should come out more smoothly. This is a very quick and erffective way to kill and suprise your opponent.

Info update 6 Everyone can Trot. Peach has the most effective trot I've ever seen. With one dash it can become many dashes. With this quick trot you dash twice, dash and roll dodge quickly, Dash and Guide Toss, Dash, stale, and dash attack. There are many uses for Peach's Trot. Try doing some of these.

Info update 7 Everyone can run turn and Grab. This Happens All at one time. I should prabably make a video of this. I'll explain it a best as I can.

Run - snap the control stick the other way (meaning turn around hard) - Quickly at the same time grab. Your character should be able to while running to turn around and Grab. This works pretty good in matahes. I'll try and make a video of this.

More updates to come people.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

This is the new Game our Princess has joined. She's back once again to kick *** and take names. The whole reason for this thread is because of this game, Super Smash bros. Brawl, One Titan of a game. One of main reason I have this Boxart here is because Nintendo has honored it with Princess Peach's Presences. With her on there it makes the Box art ever more Beautiful. So I'll leave the Boxart here in this thread for all to view and enjoy. I also added the Japanese Box because it's cool. So enjoy that too.

Ankoku's Detailed Moveset Analysis

I do this **** for fun.

Okay, here's how it works. I hit a Mario with each attack at 0% and 300%, found the launch speeds, and calculated how much knockback was added for every 1%. Then I figured out what % you need to KO him at, assuming that KO knockback is about 6850. This will be too high or too low sometimes, depending on whether the attack sends at a 45 degree angle, completely horizontal, or completely vertical, or something in between, etc.

Jab (Slap)
Damage:
3%
Initial Power: Decent (1080)
Power Growth:
None
KO Percent: N/A
It's a slap. It knocks them back a little bit, but it's the same knockback no matter what % they're at. Probably useful for setting up for some sort of follow-up, or just a grab.

Jab Combo (Double Slap)
Damage:
6%
Initial Power: Decent (1620)
Power Growth: Terrible (~12)
KO Percent: 446%
Peach's second slap has slightly stronger knockback than her first, but unlike her first, it gets stronger at higher %. I guess people who DI it back can get KO'd by it, but whatever. Easiest thing to do once you've hit somebody with the first slap.

Forward Tilt
Damage:
13%
Initial Power: Strong (2033)
Power Growth: Good (~30)
KO Percent: 159%
Peach's ftilt has better range and power than her Melee version. KO's about as well as her fsmash, actually. It sends the opponent straight upward, too, making it almost strictly better than a Frying Pan.

Up Tilt
Damage:
13%
Initial Power: Strong (2679)
Power Growth: Average (~25)
KO Percent: 167%
Peach's utilt reaches to her sides better than her usmash, and is faster too. It's got enough knockback to keep people away from you... like a force field. Unfortunately, it doesn't gain much power from higher %, so it's not very good for KOing with. It has a weird 45 degree angle trajectory, too, making it hard to follow up from. It'll probably only be useful as a counterhit or a quick combo finisher for 13% damage.

Down Tilt
Damage:
10%
Initial Power: Strong (2249)
Power Growth: Poor (~23)
KO Percent:
202%
Might be good for shield poking? I dunno, this seems like her worst tilt otherwise.

Forward Smash (Frying Pan) 18%
Initial Power:
Decent (1972)
Power Growth: Good (~32)
KO Percent: 151%
Deals the most damage, has the weakest initial knockback and shortest range. Probably the worst one to end up with when you want a KO, because of its low range, but definitely the best hit for racking up damage.

Forward Smash (Golf Club)
Damage:
15%
Initial Power: Strong (2462)
Power Growth: Decent (~28)
KO Percent: 155%
Deals average damage, has the best initial knockback and longest range. It doesn't gain as much power from % as the other two, but it lets you hit from a safe distance. Too bad you can't choose which one you want to attack with.

Forward Smash (Tennis Racket)
Damage:
13%
Initial Power: Strong (2354)
Power Growth: Great (~36)
KO Percent: 126%
Deals the least damage, has good overall knockback and average range. This would be the best fsmash Peach has overall if it weren't for the low damage.

Up Smash (Weak Hit)
Damage:
8%
Initial Power: Decent (1745)
Power Growth: Poor (~24)
KO Percent: 216%
You'll get this hit if you hit from the side but far away. Has enough knockback to send them away, but you might still get punished when they're at lower %'s... try not to get this hit.

Up Smash (Palm)
Damage:
15%
Initial Power: Strong (2505)
Power Growth: Excellent (~40)
KO Percent: 107%
The usmash is definitely Peach's best smash attack, if not for the limited hitbox area. You can get decent % KO's, it sends upward, has decent priority... but you can only get it if they're above you.

Up Smash (Shoulder)
Damage:
17%
Initial Power: Strong (2675)
Power Growth: Amazing (~45)
KO Percent: 92%
The hardest hitbox to get... you need to hit someone with Peach's shoulderpads for this, which is pretty much only achievable by running up and usmashing them, since there's no real valid setup for it normally. But, it is really powerful and deals good damage.

Down Smash
Damage:
15%
Initial Power: Decent (1895)
Power Growth: Terrible (~13)
KO Percent: 389%
They completely nerfed the dsmash's KO power, obviously. It still hits for decent damage, and can be used as shield pressure immediately following an auto-canceled aerial.

Dash
Damage:
4%
Initial Power: Decent (1285)
Power Growth: Terrible (~7)
KO Percent: 788%
I wish this attack wouldn't gain knockback growth... as it is, at higher % it has too much knockback to lead into the second hit of the dash attack.

Dash 2
Damage: 8%
Initial Power: Strong (2483)
Power Growth: Terrible (~17)
KO Percent: 251%
This'll send opponents away and keep them away for a little bit. That's all it'll do, though.

Neutral Air
Damage:
13%
Initial Power: Decent (1603)
Power Growth: Good (~32)
KO Percent: 164%
This is a good attack. In fact, it'd be an great attack if not for the fact that in the later part of it it turns into...

Neutral Air (Late Hit)
Damage:
10%
Initial Power: Weak (878)
Power Growth: Average (~26)
KO Percent: 231%
Utterly weak, even with its amazing power growth rate. Makes things harder to KO with nair.

Forward Air
Damage:
15%
Initial Power: Strong (2759)
Power Growth: Average (~27)
KO Percent: 148%
This attack starts off strong and has a pretty normal power growth level. It's your most reliable killing move, though it has a bit of a startup time...

Back Air
Damage:
14%
Initial Power: Strong (1877)
Power Growth: Good (~30)
KO Percent: 163%
Longer range version of nair. Has a weak late hitbox, too.

Back Air (Late Hit)
Damage:
7%
Initial Power: Weak (837)
Power Growth: Terrible (~15)
KO Percent: 403%
Pretty much the worst aerial you can hit with using Peach, ever.

Up Air
Damage:
13%
Initial Power: Decent (1066)
Power Growth: Great (~36)
KO Percent: 162%
The uair pops Peach up, which almost makes up for her lack of a real second jump. Almost. Uair is very good for KOing with.

Down Air
Damage:
14%
Initial Power: Strong (2275)
Power Growth: Poor (~20)
KO Percent: 231%
The first three hits are weak, the last one launches upward. It can be used for shield pressure by autocanceling into jabs or dsmash. Supposedly it can also be used to combo, though it's got pretty strong knockback for that which makes it difficult with Peach's limited jumping ability.

Toad
Damage:
18%
Initial Power: Strong (2731)
Power Growth: Poor (~21)
KO Percent: 195%
Great damage from countering ANYTHING - jab, fsmash, whatever. It can KO, but it'll take a while.

Peach Bomber
Damage:
15%
Initial Power: Strong (2097)
Power Growth: Terrible (~16)
KO Percent: 294%
Launches you forward quite a bit, and has good base knockback. Don't bother trying to KO with it normally, though this can be used to attack at someone across the stage. Passes right by people who are shielding.

Parasol
Damage:
7%
Initial Power: Insane (4041)
Power Growth: Terrible (~13)
KO Percent: 222%
I have no idea why her parasol has more initial knockback than any of Ike's attacks. But, it doesn't gain much knockback over %, either, and it's only the final hit that'll have a possibility of KOing.

Vegetable
Damage:
7%
Initial Power: Decent (1221)
Power Growth: Terrible (~7)
KO Percent: 768%

The knockback isn't bad for keeping people occupied with. Harder to edgeguard with turnips because of ridiculous recoveries and not-as-good throwing distance.

Forward Throw
Damage:
10%
Initial Power: Strong (2082)
Power Growth: Poor (~20)
KO Percent: 243%
Sends opponent out in front of you.

Back Throw
Damage:
11%
Initial Power: Strong (2552)
Power Growth: Terrible (~10)
KO Percent: 412%
Seriously, don't try to KO with these throws alone. Bthrow deals the most damage on its own, though.

Up Throw
Damage:
8%
Initial Power: Strong (2613)
Power Growth: Terrible (~11)
KO Percent: 400%
Bad.

Down Throw
Damage:
7%
Initial Power: Strong (2319)
Power Growth: Terrible (~13)
KO Percent: 355%
It can chaingrab space animals. And IMO, it's a better choice than uthrow.

So, here's the attacks, in order of lowest KO % to highest...
Up Smash (Shoulder) - 92%
Up Smash (Palm) - 107%
Forward Smash (Tennis Racket) - 126%
Forward Air - 149%
Forward Smash (Frying Pan) - 151%
Forward Smash (Golf Club) - 155%
Forward Tilt - 159%
Up Air - 162%
Back Air - 163%
Neutral Air - 164%
Up Tilt - 167%
Toad - 195%
Down Tilt - 202%
Up Smash (Weak Hit) - 216%
Parasol - 222%
Neutral Air (Weak Hit) - 231%
Down Air - 231%
Forward Throw - 243%
Dash Attack 2 - 251%
Peach Bomber - 294%
The rest are really bad ideas for KOing with~

Since some people are arguing with me about KOing at lower %s against characters other than Mario, who I specifically said I used in finding these %s, I'm going to add my character weight list here, too. Anyone above Mario is heavier, anyone below is lighter.

(To clearify, I put "~" on the advanced skills that aplly to everyone in the game, and I put "*" on the Techs that only have to do with Peach. I don't know enough info on all these yet, DJC might work for someone else and later on be discovred. So right now I'm only setting it up this way because of all the vague info we're getting so far. So bear with me.)

I also added some more techs and Advanced techs to the list. Also, I added the color yellow to the average techs that everyone can use including the Advanced techs, and the color pink /plum to the 'Peach only" techs or techs closely relating to peach.

Peach's Advanced techs and others. As pointed out by GimpyFish. I've changed some of Gimpy's techs. I posted a more up to date version.

Auto Float with Peach
Still in, Peach can just hold down and will float automatically

Double Jump Cancel
Peach can't seem to double jump cancel. So this is out people.

*Peach turnip pulls*
Beam Sword – Wow the beam sword got quite a buff, and peach can still pull these things. The range of the beam swords increased massively, it extends as you swing it. Still works
basically the same as in melee and 64 though.

*Bob-omb – These are the same as they are in melee and 64. After a while they start to walk around, they seem to be less devastating in this game, although that could be because you have more frames to DI.

*Mr. Saturn – Mr. Saturn is back and he wants his revenge on your shield. He seems to destroy shields much faster in this game. He walks around the stage, you can still attack him if you have no heart.

*Float Canceling
Float Canceling is... is... is OUT!! :cry: Well there you have it people. But just because float canceling isn't in doesn't mean we still can't pwn with Peach. With Peach's insane Speed buff we shall manage without Float canceling.

~Sheild Grab~
If you read the shield hit stun description right above this one then you will already know about this. Sheild grab is in and seems to be even more effective than it was in melee (at least in the point that getting the grab is going to be happening more often).

~C-Stick~
The c-stick does work differently in brawl then it did in melee. C-stick still does smash attacks if you aren’t holding a direction, but if you are holding ANY DIRECTION and point your c-stick it will do a tilt in the direction that you tilt the c-stick. You can also charge smash attacks with the c-stick, which is a good change. C-stick still works for airials, and you can actually catch items with the c-stick as well.

MPCIt seems Peach and other Characters can do a lot of stuff out shield. I think I might have Utilted out of shield.

~Crouch Canceling~ MPC
Crouch Canceling is not in Brawl. I tried it. When your hit the attack makes you stand up. So Crouch Canceling is out. Also someone else has confirmed this as well.
Thread: http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=140981
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyHqbpfJ7lY

~Dash Dancing~ MPC
Dash Dancing is in, but is tricky. At any moment you could trip and it won't be as effective as you want it. I dash Danced with Peach and Pit I didn't fall, but I felt like I was going to. Tripping is Random and can happen at any time. If your gonna dash dance do it at a minimum. We don't want you messing up your meta Game by doing this all the time. Also another thing I noticed is when you trip you seem to gain a very small amount of invincibility frames. What I'm saying is this, it's possible to mind game with tripping, But I'm not sure on how well it may work. But this is some thing to take into account.

~Jump Cancel Upsmash~ MPC
It's in. And works fine.

~OoS (out of sheild)~
you can up b out of sheild, you can up smash out of sheild, you can grab out of sheild, you can jump out of sheild (NOT YOU YOSHI LOLOLOL sucks to be yoshi again)

~Footstool jump~
Footstool jump looks really silly actually. You just jump on characters heads. I believe any character can do this, but we didn’t see them all do it (I never did it with Bowser, but I never really tried to do it either) It does no damage and seems to have very slow knockback, but we didn’t see anyone meteor cancel one, and we tried to cancel it every time it was done to us. It just sent us down really slowly and you couldn’t jump right away.

Peach
This is nothing special really, but I thought I would share this with you guys. If Peach is mid float when someone Foot Stool Hops her she doesn't move at all. The character that Foot Stooled her still gets is jump, but peach doesn't fall. The only real use I can see for this is if people in the future manage to footstool edge hog with floaty characters. Another thing I guess is for teams. If you float off the ledge you can have your teammate hop on you to get back. Be creative with it...or something lol. ^^

~DI/smash di~
DI is still in brawl, and seems to be a lot more effective. There is more hit stun with pretty much every move, so there are more frames to DI. It’s really a hard thing to check, all of the competitive players who played brawl have a really natural instinct to DI to survive, its hard to think not to DI on purpose for comparison purposes. It did seem like we lived for longer percentages though, especially on most of the item attacks. Honestly it seemed like it was easier to do survival DI, but harder to DI out of combos. My theory on that is that because the game and most moves are new, we simply don’t know where to DI yet to get out of combos.

~Rolling~
Still in and very similar to the melee. Some characters (Metaknight and Pit for example) have really quick rolls that seem like they would be more useful than most rolls in
melee.

~Sidestepping~
Sidestepping is in, and appears to be basically the same as it was in Melee.

~Fast Falling~
Fast falling is in. It works similarly to the melee fast fall, but seems to have an even greater effect on falling speed (compared to their jumping speeds at least)

MPC Peach's fast fall is very slow.

~Edgehogging~
Edgehogging works the same way it did in melee, characters gain invincibility frames on the edge, and during a rolling animation or getup attack other characters cannot grab the edge.

~Chaingrabbing.~
Honestly it seems like some characters can still chaingrab, mario can certainly chaingrab some characters (in addition to his numerous buffs n_n) but chaingrabbing makes me sad T-T
It's surprising though, as all of the characters seem generally floatier, as well as seem to recover from hitstun sooner, so chaingrabbing seems to be less possible by most characters
DeDeDe has a sick Chain grab. Beware.

~Air Dodge~
The phsycis of the airdodge have changed. You likely already know this. Airdodging is no longer directional, and you also can’t do it in place to sort of “stall” in the air. Airdodge simply gives invulnerability frames temporarily, and does nothing else. You can attack after airdodges. You can jump after airdodges. You can airdodge multiple times in a row if you have time to do so. There is a short amount of time where you can’t airdodge so that you can’t just stay invincible in the air forever though.

~Item grabbing/catching~ MPC
It's much easier to grab items this time around. You attack and Grab. You can dash attack and grab. You can walk or run past the items and grab. It's weird but it can be used for mind games.

~Ledgetech~
You can tech anywhere. Even on the ledges. Someone tried to kill G-regulate he teched on the ledge and wall jumped. It was sick XD.

~Sheild Hit Stun~
At first it appeared there was more shield hit stun in the game, but then I noticed that every character seems to have a really good sheildgrab off almost any air -> ground attack combination. Visually it looks like more shield hit stun, but I don’t think it really is anything that will affect the game at all.

~Shffls~ MPC
You can still Shffl but it's a bit slower and harder to do. With Peach it's a breeze. with other character it would depend on who your using and the moves you use.

~Teching~
Teching is still in. You can tech off walls the ground and the ceiling. You can walljump tech, tech in place, and rolltech. Teching acts more or less the same as it did in Melee.

~Tumble Recovery~
This is still in, you can wiggle the control stick to get out of your tumbling animation faster.

~L Canceling~ MPC
At E 4 All Gimpy said you can L cancel. Sorry to break it to you folks but L canceling is gone. Where it went I don't know. But in brawl it's missing. Lots of people tried and we laughed at them. You cannot L cancel. Some characters have aireals that have no lag period, But it will depend on what move your doing.

~“Thunders” Combo~
When somebody misses a tech, tapping them no longer causes them to stand up automatically. Gimpy may be right on this. I didn't really see anyone do this in any match.

~Pivot~
Still in, and apparently you can do it while dashing somehow. It seems like it would be very effective with sonic. Inks was the first one that did that with Mario doing a reverse grab out of a dash, and I did it later by dashing across the screen into a reverse short hop back air. We aren’t sure how it’s done, just that it can be done.

~Shield Drop~ You CAN drop through platforms with your shield up just like in Smash 64. This is a very good thing. Not sure on this either. I'll go with Gimpy on this one.

~Jab Canceling~ Jab canceling is in and it works just the same as it did in melee. If you jab, then press down, then jab again you will repeatedly do just the first hit of your jab instead of doing the other hits after.
---------------------------------------------

New Advanced techs. As noted by GimpyFish.

~Hugging~
Hugging seems like its going to be big in brawl. With the lack of a solid wavedash this seems like the best way to edgehog at this point. You simply walk/run/roll/whatever off the edge and press towards the stage after you fall, you grab the edge automatically facing either direction. Its fast and its useful. Pretty cool new technique.

~Swimming~
Swimming – Every character in the game can “Swim” if you land in water. However, you can only swim for a short period of time. This is primarily seen on Delfino Plaza (at least for now). You can be spiked through the water, and you can do moves (like Bowser’s down b for example) through the water and still die, so be careful!

Stuff that has been said about Peach

Gimpy's impressions

Peach

Oh... Did I win? It seems like Peach will likely be saying this even more this time around, because overall peach got several buffs. Peach is one of the characters that actually felt similar to her Melee counterpart becaues of her floating mechanics. Her double jump was DRASTICALLY reduced in height, but otherwise her movement is mostly the same. Peach is overall faster in Brawl while still maintaining most of her priority and most of her KO potential. Peach seems to have everything going for her, but her recovery may become far more easily punished this time around. Anyways, let's get down to business.

Peach is overall much faster than she is in Melee. Her moves come out faster, she runs faster, and she still has float canceling so eliminating lag after airials feels very famiilar here. Peach is one of the few characters that feels a lot like their Melee counterpart. Most of the competitive players adapted to Peach much more quickly than they adapted to any other character. Peach's tilts all combo better than they did in Melee, they all setup nicely for an airial at the lower percents and they all activate faster than their Melee counterparts as well. Her forward tilt isn't nearly as laggy in this game, and it comes out a little bit quicker. The down tilt seems mostly the same. Her up tilt is faster, has better comboability, and less lag after it. Peach's dash attack has changed in this game. Rather than being a wall of priority that can combo fast fallers this move is now a combo move on pretty much everyone. The move hits two times now, the first hit pushes them into the second hit, which sets them up for an easy combo. Peach's grab game seems to be just as dangerous in Brawl as well. Her down throw is one of the best comboing throws in Brawl, and her forward throw was the only throw that we saw killing. The knockback of her forward throw isn't necessarily increased, but it seems like the DI on throws isn't nearly as effective, but perhaps we just weren't DIing it correctly.

Peach's Specials were never really anything to be amazed by. Her turnips were always one of the best things about her though. She still pulls them just as fast in this game, and can still pull out beam swords, bob-ombs, Mr. Saturn, and the death turnip. Turnips are easier to catch in this game (along with all items) and can be caught during airials, so that could lead to some pretty cool potential Peach combos or sheild pressuring tactics. Toad was only useful in certain cases in Melee, and it seems to be mostly unchanged in this game. Her side b in this game seems to be improved a lot. It's now a legitimate kill move, it starts up much faster and hits a lot harder, it also has drastically reduced lag at the end of the move. Instead of a standard explosion like in the last game it now has the animation of what I can best describe as a "heart" explosion. A lot of hearts and "pink" explode out of the point of impact when this move lands now. Peach's up b is more or less the same move in this game, but with Brawl's new physics it seems like it will be much easier to punish. Peach's up b falls down MUCH slower in this game, she can stay up for a long, long time, but the problem is the fast fall. When you fast fall in Melee with peach out of her umbrella you would fall pretty quickly back to the ground, it's great for tricking people into missing an edgeguard. Well in Brawl when you fast fall you fall just slightly faster than Melee's normal umbrella fall. It's still very slow and it looks like it would be easily punished.

Peach's smash attacks recieved a few nerfs, but overall are still very good. I'll start with the obvious big change. Peach's down smash has been fixed. Well, I suppose the right word is nerfed, but you know what I mean. Peach's down smash does significantly less damage overall, it still does a lot of damage if everything hits, but this isn't a 50+% combo in one move anymore. The move does roughly 30% if every hit lands, and has much lower knockback. This move doesn't even kill in sudden death. It still is a pretty solid move because of the low startup time and the fact that it can still eat away at sheilds. Her up smash seems to be mostly the same, but possibly has more range this time around. We are unsure if the move still has invincibility frames, but it has a lot of priority at very least. Peach's forward smash is a GREAT killing move in this game. It still varies between the frying pan, golf club, and tennis racket. The move comes out a little bit faster than it did in Melee and seems to have great killing potential regardless of which variation you get. This move is very strong and seems like it is hard to punish.

Peach's air game remained mostly the same. Still a lot of high priority moves, some with good combo ability, and some with good killing power. Her up air still does mostly the same thing, good for some comboing at lower percents, and can kill off the top at some of the higher percents too. Her down air is pretty much the same as well. Peach's neutral may have slightly less priority, but it's still great and does a lot of damage. Her forward air is noticably faster and still has good killing power. Peach's air game is really solid in Brawl, just like in Melee.

Overall Peach has got it all. She's pretty fast on the ground, she has a lot of killing potential, she has a great projectile, and she's got great combos. She seems like she will die at more or less the same percents in this game, she is still light in this game, but everyone lives to higher percents now. Peach was one of the best characters from the competitive point of view.

Master Peach's Impressions XD

Peach is Excellent in Brawl. (Edit: Float canceling is out, but as an upside Peach is much faster . So at time it may seem like she float Canceling) Peach has great combo ability. Peach Moves and runs faster than she did in Melee. Her attacks are Stronger and more effective. The Dsmash is nerfed but still serves it's purpose, to build damage. Also because it can't really kill people anymore, it's good for comboing. Peach's Usmash has gotten buffed. It's good for killing same for her Uair. Peach's USmash has a Sweet spot. I did it on one of my friendss and it killed them a 105 percent. Absolutely awesome. Also I dash danced with Peach. If you don't trip this could be used effectively in brawl. Peach now has more freedom in the air. When you auto float with her she move faster in her float than in Melee. It's easy in move in and out with her Float. Her Bair is Stronger. It sends people flying. If you don't DI, your screwed. Her Fair is stronger and faster. I hit people a lot with this. I'm not sure if she can chain grab. (Edit: Peach's forward Throw is greatly reduced. You can't kill with it anymore . Sucks, Oh well..)

Peach's Nair can Combo and is still strong. You can still combo with Peach's Dair and it looks stronger to. Not that strong but you get the idea. Oh this is huge. At around 150-200 damage Peach's Up-B can kill. her Up-B has Knockback people. When used it starts tearing through people like a saw. I think I'm going to use this more often. Her Dash attack does 2 hits as we all have heard. The second hit has good knockback. Her FSmash is great. Very strong and good for killing, It still has the golf club, tennis racket and Pan. But each of these are stronger than they were in Melee. I didn't use peach side b often but it is much faster than what it use to be. You can actually use this in battle often. also don't use it and think you will be able to bounce off walls cause you can't. You just fly at the wall. Peach's turnips are still good and useful but disappears a lot faster tan before and the stitch face has gotten a severe nerfing. It barely does the same knockback as the one in Melee. It's good to build damage just don't think you'll get a kill from it. Toad is Good. At high percentages he can kill!!. Peach's 2nd jump is SMALL!!! Your not going to get much height from it. Lastly I'd like to say that Peach is a Surviver. She can live for a very long time as long as you know what your doing.

I'm going to rate Peach
I give Peach a 8.5/10

Yuna's Float cancel Report

No matter how many have claimed that Float Cancel is still in, it is out. No matter what I try to do,
I cannot get her to Float Cancel.

A lot of the time, it will look like a Float Cancel but it won't have been one. Why? Because all of her slow aerials got faster (most noticable on Fair, which is quite fast now) and pretty much every single one of her aerials have next to no lag on landing now.

This is why it looks and feels like people are Float Cancelling occasionally, people. The moves either just end before they touch the ground (no lag for landing during the aerial) or the lag was so negligent it wasn't really noticable.

How can I prove this? If you try to Float Cancel a dair, you'll see a few frames during which she goes into her lag-animation for Dair (apparently, her Dair lags "a lot" now). No matter what you do, that tiny lag animation will always be there. It will go into this animation every single time as opposed to, say, the fair which is so fast sometimes you'll land after the move's over and it'll look like a float cancel.

There is however, a way to, um... float cancel the attack itself. Yes, you can no longer cancel the lag of aerials. But you can cancel the attack from coming out at all! The only way to initiate an aerial and landing during it without lagging is to land before the hitbox itself comes out.

This means that the attack itself will not come out, it will not provide shieldstun, the opponent is free to shieldgrab you. You can use this as a fakeout to trick them and dodge the shieldgrab, but it's not realiable, especially not for use often (they could anticipate the follow up).

Why did I forget to mention this earlier? Because it's not in any way new. It existed in Melee as well. In fact, everyone can do this. It's called the Auto-Cancel, simply lag before the hitbox for an aerial has come out and the move, along with the lag will disappear. Everyone could do it in Melee and everyone can do it now.

The problem is that in order to do this, you have to be right next to the ground, so it's not like people will fall for it often and people with fast reaction time will punish you.

Yuna's Brawl Peach - An in-depth look at Peach in Brawl

I don't care if some people have posted disjointed tidbits about Peach before, this will be a thread which will discuss all of the changes made to Peach in Brawl.

A companion thread would be the one with the video (I made) of Peach's moveset in order to visualize the changes, though I forgot to do the Bair while not floating and Bthrow. I'll fix that come Thursday).

Jab - It now launches the opponent even at low percentages (although it doesn't launch them that high). As crouch canceling is now out, you no longer have to fear them CC:ing her jab and punishing her.
U-tilt - Is just as fast as the old U-tilt, is a great anti-air. However, the Hitbox is mostly in her upper arm and above, so it will whiff on short standing foes (like Kirby, Meta-Knight, possibly Pit, etc.). It's quite strong, but not as strong as Upsmash. The range and priority is kinda better (in Melee, her head was invincible).
D-tilt - Faster, but since Dash Canceling is out and her D-tilt doesn't really have that great a range nor is it as fast as a lot of other D-tilts, it's virtually useless now (you can't dash cancel into a D-tilt, you have to somehow get close enough for it to hit or bait them into running into it).
Dash Attack - Two hit combo. First hit has little knockback and will knock them into the 2nd hit. Easy to DI because of this. Not a guaranteed combo-starter even without DI. Will knock them too far away once they hit the 30-40%-mark.
Dsmash - Nerfed into infinity. No CC, so the opponent can't CC it to receive the full damage at any percent. A full direct hit will inflict, like, 21% at most. Has virtually no knockback (will not KO in Sudden Death), has a reduced hitbox. The only "Good" change is that she now crouches lower when she does it, so high attacks will miss >_>'.
Fsmash - All three fsmashes have been buffed. Will kill at lower %s, especially the Frying Pan which is still mostly a vertical KO:er. Still not nearly as strong as to be considered "strong KO-moves".
Nair - Reduced priority, length and range.
Fair - Faster on both startup and cool-down. Still not as fast as most Fairs (Sheik, Marth, Fox, Falco, pretty much anyone else in the game).
Upair - I believe it's slightly stronger, the motion is also bigger and it reaches further up from Peach's body than in Melee (she kicks higher).
Bair - Bair will make Peach move a great distance behind her, extending it a lot backwards now. Virtually no lag on landing.
Dair - Nerfed. I believe it's got a little bit higher priority and hitbox. However, the last hit launches and it launches them quite a lot so unless they only have 20% or less after the dair hits, you cannot combo from it. This coupled with the nerfed second jump greatly diminishes the use of dair.
Stichface - Greatly diminished knockback.
Up B - Extends further away from her body now. However, fastfalling it will cause her to still fall quite slowly. Will have a landing lag animation even if you fastfall it. Auto-sweetspots if below the edge and close enough. Can KO now.
Peach Bomber - Makes her fly forward a greater distance. Will sometimes semi-spike (though the knockback is too small to actually make a difference), faster on startup and cooldown. She'll bounce her upwards now from a hit, but only if it hits a person or Sandbag. Will not bounce off of walls.
Toad - Faster on startup and cooldown. Still too slow. Can KO now (knockback no longer set).
Double Jump - It's so nerfed it's practically inexistent. She gains less vertical distance than Toad is tall.
F-throw - Illogically nerfed. It required 150-170% to KO in Melee. Now it requires much more.
Bthrow - Nerfed. Less knockback. I think the opponent faces away from Peach after being launched away, but this doesn't actually matter since you can now grab the ledge even with your back turned to it.
Uthrow - Too much knockback to combo or chaingrab off of it. To little knockback to KO.
Dthrow - Not that comboable. Especially not at anything above 60%.
Dashing - She dashes faster now.
~~~ No Float canceling ~~~
Dark Pch Impressions
Day 1
Peach really feels different to use and much harder this time around. There is no FC, she cant no longer cut the lag of attacks. so its out if it seems that way to you us cause you did it after the ainamtion of the lad was done or nearly done.. Mid % and above you cant down air to Nair anymore. and if so you have to be frame pefrect. its hard to pull off. But at Low% I was able to FC>Dair>Nair Her last kick of the Dair sends your enemy in the air. Its ho longer a weak hit that you can follow with fast.
Her Fthrow cant kill. Thats out. I throw my enemy at around 130 and he did not die nor fly very far. So my advice is to try and follow up with a combo if you plan to Fthrow them. like into a wall and maybe an air attack. or as usual, just get them off the stage with it, but dont expect to kill with it.
Her back air hits twice. Yes, its a 2 hit combo just like Peaches Dash attack. And is mostly one of Peaches killing moves. That moves Kills better than any of her air attacks. And I belive thats her strongest air move.
Her Nair also hits twice. If inside Peach and you get hit, you will get hit twice before getting launched.
Her Up-B hits about three times I think. and has power. You can kill with the move this time around. and is good for a combo breaker. I was still able to do my Up-B tricks. sadly it was not caught on tape I belive. But next time I'll do them for all to see.
Turnip to FC>Fair is ok. But its easy to land in melee than brawl. Its a bit slow in brawl. not that much. But its not simple as in melee. You will need good spacing and timing to hit with it and not get punished for it.
Her jabs ack a punch and has more range. I thing you can 4 hit combo with them. I got for jabs in. Jabbed 2 times then I was able to follow up with another 2 jabs. and I think it does more damage then in melee.
Her toad had changed. it lances the enemy this time. It does not keep then in range when the spores come out. I think I sused in on video.
And her F-B is much faster and does not really lag. Really good upgrade to the move in my opinion.
The Characters that give Peach the most trouble from what I seen are Meta, Pit and Marth. Its Hard to get inside them. But Marth seems to be the worst out of them all. Turnips and back airs are a must when fighting them. And Marth seems to be her counter again. I could not beat my friends Marth with Peach, but the other sword people I could. Marth still has a good edguard on her. So its Hard to return. and he can still combo her. Not as well as melle though so us Peach players get a break there. You have to figure out a way to get inside these characters to do gamage. So once you get them off stage keep them out.
She does well against Link and Zelda thus far from what I see. But Zelda is more faster now and her hit boxes are bigger. So spacing is key when fighting Zelda. Same with Link. Bit your back air can go through most of his stuff. And she is also good against Ike cause of how slow he is. But when in range he can combo peach well, so watch out for that.
So a day with playing Peach it seems she is in reverse. the attacks that were fast or backed more power in melee are slower in brawl and vice versa. But she can still combo well. its just hard to pull off. And it took me a while to get use to her new frames and timing. but once I got it down, i was able to play fast with Peach and still do damage.
Day 2
combos I found a few but for finishing your enemy, wont really do the jump. if you can combo into the Up-B that be the only way to kill cause the Up-B kills now. But here are some of what I came up with:
Dthrow> Jump>Back air (Dont Float to Back air, just jump and do it)
Dthrow> reverse up-B
Dtilt> Up air
Dtilt> Up air>Up-B
Dtilt> Nair
Dtilt> Fair
Dair (drop, dont float) and follow up with anything else you can faster. Point of dropping is so the fourth hit does not connect and they wont get sent flying. so they stay in your rang and you can do something after.
Dair>Nair (low-mid %)
Up air> Up-B
Jab to Grab
Jab to down smash
Dask attack to an air attack or up-B
Jab> Nair
Jab>Dtilt
if they sheild:
Dair>Dsmash
Dair>grab
Dair>jab
Dair> Ftilt
now after the Dair to Jab you can add on to anything else you please. a Grab, air attack, etc.
You can keep doing the down air on the sheild since the last hitt has the most power. But if you do it and wann keep your enemy in range to follow up with something, you have to fall before the 4th kick lands when you hit with the move.
The combo list you need to know the timing of the moves so you can attack after fast. so spacing is key. Most of the combos requires spacing if you wanna hit with them. Thats all I know for now. And also notice that it depends on % and how the Person DI's as well
Peach is Harder to use then in melle to me. The Fell of Peach is not smooth like melee Peach. it seems now its more important that ever to space your attacks if you want to follow up with something else or not get punished for a mistake. and you have to know the right time that your air attacks wont lag. The time when you touch the floor so you can attack after. You do it too soon and you will lag and be left open. Thats why spacing and knowing the timing of your attacks need to be combined or else you will find it really hard to use Peach. I'm not on point with that yet. I'm good at it but still have trouble. Just th feel of her alone isdifferent. so playing Fast with her was a problem now. cause if my timing was off, I get punished.
Day 3
Well third day of me using Peach and I think I got use to her. But I noticed one thing she lacks........a killing move. As in sheHas a hard time Killing her enemy. The only Moves i was able to kill well with was her Upsmash and Back air. Second place was her Fair and N-air. Also in this game now when you use a move over and over, it loses its power and knockback. So It makes it hard for Peach to kill. Cause the moves to get your enemy out of the stage in the first place are moves you need to K.O them. So by the time you work to get them off the stay, your moves may be weak to do a decent kill.
So the strategy I suggest with Peach now is work on those combos, dont try to kill early, get as much damage as you can. then go for the final blow (which wont be easy as I just explained.) My combo would help in this case. I was mostly about combos knowing I cant kill well. So I decided to just combo and just, get enough % depending on who I am fighting then end it. My Finisher was mostly Upsmash. Killed everytime. And since I'm good with the upsmash and known for it, it was not THAT hard to get K.O's of it. But its harder in this game than melee. so I say Peach NOW in Brawl is all aboutCombos. No early deaths, no gimping, thats all gone. Now you have to work hard for your kills, and with the speed and the way the game feels now, your gonna have work ahead of you. She will be indeed one of the tuffest characters to master or yet alone be really good with.
------------
Well I'm not sure I can give advice on your vids after one day of playing with peach. But I learned tons about her and got use to her really quick. and did damage. so Here I go as my first advice to a Peach player. you should feel special.
From a day of playing I learned that you cant rush with Peach. And Spacing is important now than before. Imean its always was but You need to be on point with it if you wanna do damage.
Be careful with landing a FC> Fair on someones sheild. You time it wrong you will lag and leave yourself open. Let the attack come out fully then fast fall.
attacking out of the sheild to a Dair is useful. Since the Dair got Buffed you can stab thier shield and get them with the 4th kick which sends your enemy flying.
Time well your Turnip, > FC> Nair combos cause its not so fast to execute like it was in melee. Timing is different.
Characters that can attack long range use a turnip to get inside, then folllow up. I say use back air more. it one of Peaches best killing moves. and it hits twice. Good for shield pressure. But once you hit with a FC>Bair air, land right away. cause you cant do another air attack. Her animation takes a while to finish. bale like 2 secs from my understanding.
The combo you did to Charizard at the start of the first vid was great. reminded me of myself in melee. I have not tried crazy combos like that yet. I was busying trying to understand Peach. Like her move frames, when I can dish out my next attack, what moves have lag, how to cancel them, timing, etc. next time I get recorded I'll but my tricks to the test.
But pratice spacing and dont rush. Peach can somewhat get punished bad for rushing and etc.
-------------------------
Day 4
A character Peach has lots of trouble with is meta knight. Peach falls kinda slow now, and he can really take advantage of that. And its hard to get a good hit off cause the swing of his sword covers his whole body. I dont like fighting him on small stages like Onnett. I fought my friend there and it was really hard to land on the ground and get space. Big stages where you can get some landing room is your best bet. Space all your moves to get inside him and land a clean hit off him. Her jab does well against him to get inside.
Peach can still wall bomb I did it today but sadly that match was not recorded. But you can wall bomb. Someone will do it on video soon if not me and you will see.
Her second jump you can use it as a good edge hop. Since in melee you could not do it cause her jump had reach, you can do it this time cause her second jump goes no where. Look at "Vs Bowser 3" Video. I did it like twice. So you can use that as a fake out and grab the edge over and over. or attack of the edge coming back in.
-------------------------
Impressions from Nealdt
A couple of additions:
Yes, you can pull out death turnips and bobombs. I pulled 2 zombies in a row, and Comp pulled 2 bombs in a row.
Down+b does nothing in the air.
D-smash range has been reduced a little, I wouldn't say it's terrible, it's just not the godlike move you're used to. It still has excellent speed and priority.
Her usmash SOMETIMES shows a heart at her hands, sometimes not. Dunno why.
You can Peach Bomber the wall of a stage and you will auto-grab the ledge if you're close enough. It's quite good.
She doesn't fall nearly as fast anymore when you close your parasol. It's almost the same speed as when the parasol is open.
----
*Peach can drop her turnips on the ground, much like Link can drop his bombs on the ground. I only saw this once -- HugS fsmashed me with Samus and I dropped my turnip -- but the turnip will indeed sit on the ground, and after a short duration it will start flashing and disappear. Interesting.
-----
*She's not any heavier (I regularly died to a gimped Fox Usmash and Samus' bair at medium percents [70-90]).
None of her throws combo at all because everyone recovers almost instantaneously out of throws if they try.
Yes, her air moves are largely unchanged except for a slightly buffed b-air.
And the only time a turnip ended up on the ground was when someone smashed me while I was holding one. Link apparently can't drop bombs on the ground like he used to, so Peach might not be able to drop turnips manually.
Keep in mind that this is all based on a demo. Things will change, count on it. Oldies will remember the Melee demo way back in the good ol' days, where Link's arrow charged in a split second and was ridiculously powerful... and look how it ended up in the full game.
--------------------------------------------
Impressions from ShortFuse
Everyone dies slowly and recover Easily, I've seen people go over 200% all the time.
Air dodges are very very short and fast, and the lag afterwards is small, while falling towards the stage with peach, you can easily air dodge 5-6 times continuously.
Peach Bomber is much more usefull now, and goes further with less lag.
Peach can DJC!
Peach is faster than she used to be
Nair got weaker knockback, but Fair and Bair got stronger.
peach can FC.
I didn't get to grab with her, but her Forward throw is actually improved from what I've seen.
Dsmash works exactly the same, only less damage and knockback. still a great move.
Fsmash is stronger.
I didn't get to use many vegtables cause it was FFA, but they work the same.
Up B goes much further, falling speed doesn't seem much diffrent from it was.
Because a lot of people have been asking about Peaches alt colors I decided to show images of the confirmed Alt colors for Peach. Thanks to Pappioll for making the images. These Peaches look great.
These are Peaches confirmed colors.
Since Everyone has been saying that Green will be Peach 6th color and because of the teams update this confirms Peach Green alt color. I've already added with the other color if you haven't seen it already. With this color it completes standard amount of colors that Peach and each character is given.
Peach Final Smash Impressions
Gimpy's impression.
Peach
Alright, Peach’s Final Smash seems to be misinterpreted as being a really bad. That is completely false. Peach’s Final Smash is really quite good, using it while your opponent is at low % seems to be a poor decision though, but peach can rack up damage with combos really quickly anyways. Peach’s Final Smash causes her to sing and dance which puts everyone on the screen to sleep. Oh wait, it puts everyone who is ON THE STAGE to sleep. It doesn’t put you to sleep if you are in the air, OR on the edge. So this one actually requires a setup to get against somebody who knows these things, seems like down throw into final smash would work, but maybe it wouldn’t because they could just stay and miss the tech, I’m not sure. There’s bound to be something though. Anyways, assuming that you just put everyone to sleep there are now peaches all over the stage that heal you quite a bit, you can easily heal up all of your percent if you manage to get them all, but it isn’t likely you’ll eat them all before you get your opponent. If you’ve used it at higher percents you can eat some peaches, then go kill your opponent with a forward smash (which got buffed quite a bit) then eat the rest of the peaches, it’s a really good final smash.
Master Peach:
Peach's FS Can Cause Damage. The people caught in it are easier to KO. It's like the damage ratio was raised. If your in the Air your safe from her FS. But on the ground whether or not your on screen or not her FS will still reach you. also the Peach's heal you up pretty nicely.
Yuna
* It will only put enemies who are on the ground (which does not include clinging to the ledge) for the beginning of the dancing animation (well, for most of it, but not all of it) to sleep.
* It will inflict damage even if the victim(s) aren't grounded.
* How much damage is inflicted is dependent on how far away they are from Peach. Damages I've gotten so far are 40% and 10%.
Questions asked about Peach.
Questions= White color/default color
Answers= Dark Orange color
PEACH
- Is Peach's DSmash still a broken overpowered death move?
Peach’s dsmash is nerfed, no range. Did not kill in instant death mode. Can do a lot of damage if you CC it still though.
- Can Peach still pull out death turnips and other items like Bobombs?
No death turnip seen yet but did pull out a beam sword.
- Does anything happen when you use Down+B while in the air with Peach now?
Down+b does nothing in the air.
- Any changes to Peach's float mechanics? Can she still float cancel? Can she still float at ground level? Any way to perform the ground float with the Wii-mote config since you have to press Up to jump?
Seems float mechanics are the same, including float cancelling
- Is it true Peach's FS actually has 4 different effects (for her 4 "vibes" from Super Princess Peach) and if so, what does each do? We know one of them makes everyone fall asleep and drops a bunch of peaches she can eat to restore health. Are there others?
Nope, its just the one sleeping/peaches one as explained on the Dojo
Asked by DTKPch
- Why is the FC tougher to use? Do you have to be more frame perfect? Is the fast falling part of float cancelling not effective anymore?
About her down smash: we all know it got nerfed damage-wise, but how about other things? It looked like it had more range than in melee. Is it faster? More priority? Does it still land all of the hits if they crouch cancel?
Also, I believe dmbrandon and Montage crew said crouch cancelling no longer works as well. Do you think CC->Dsmash is still a good strategy?
How effective and useful do you think the side-b is? Can she still wall bomb?
#1 Its more Harder cause her Fc is not so smooth like in melee. For one thing her back it takes about 2 secs to end and then you can do another back air or another air attack. Peach FC is melee is faster than the one in brawl So yea pretty much you have to be somewhat frame perfect.
You can still FC to a Fast fall then follow up with something else. But if you are to close, you can get attacked or grabbd after.Like if you Fast fall her FC>Fair before the attack ends, you will lag, you cant do anything until the animation has ended. But if you Fair, than fast fall you can follow up after, the lag is gone.
#2 Her Dsmash cant kill. So yea it got Nerfed. but you can land all hits if someone CC it. and I think its much faster and has more ramge. I did not pay much attention to it. it seemsed like it though. But beside it being Nerfed, it is pretty much the same, you can stab people shields with it. Just a lil more aster and more range if I saw correct.
#3You can no longer CC to a Dsmash. When you CC and Hit the c-stick you do your DTilt. This goes with every character.
#4 Her Side-B is faster and has less lag than before. Pretty good move this time around. I did not use it much but its not a bad move to use like in melee. and I have not tried to wall bomb. next time I'll give it a try
Maybe it's because it's random, like her turnip pulls. Maybe her heart one shows that it does little to no damage, as shown in the snap shot update with Kirby. Or it could do twice as much damage.
Toads gonna be so good in brawl, he now actually pushes enemies backwards possibly making it harder to DI towards Peach and whacking her
Yeah I'll be trying to see how well her Dsmash will work in brawl. Since it can't kill at really high percentages any more, It'll be better for comboing.
Toad is actually a good way to come back on a stage if someone is edgeguarding you. Plus when used, the momentum of the jump is not really changed. So when using toad to return in melee it can protect you and help you return to the board safely.
I'm not sure if the same thing will happen in brawl but this technique works well. Just don't be predictable with it.
Though I don't think this should or will promote Toad usage. Meh :psycho:
I also noticed that as well. peach looks much faster than she was in Melee. That video of her in SSE when she was running with kirby she looked like she was moving much faster than normal.
I really think her speed overall has improved.
If this is true, all the more reason why I main her. :chuckle:
Brawl Peach is looking better and better. XD
@ Master Peach: But it says THINK There were. :\
I'm only going by what people tell me, and there impressions. Since I didn't go to E for all I'm trying to take in all the info on Peach as I can.
If it so happens when brawl is released that Peach's costumes are changed or the ones in the demo are not in the final version, I'll update this thread and change it.
But from one of the videos that I've seen I think this is true. Because I saw peach with light Blue custom in one of her matches.
