Attention: North England / Southern Scotland

From vieing the current 'London' topic I became aware that the South are getting themselves sorted. Its looking to be that they will be having regular smaller tournaments changing between Yeovila nd London. That will do wonders for their games!

What about us Northerners?! I was contemplating doing the same. Running small Monthly Tournaments held at my place. Most likely be the last Saturday of every month (Starting in January). All will be welcome to sleep over the Sat night.

and anyone else thats in the area!

My house is large enough for everyone staying over. Furthermore, we will have around 4-5 tvs setup. 3 of them are 28 inch and one is 21 inch :)

lso, smaller numbers means that ill be able to sit down with each new player and given them extended amount of tutouring. If your wanting tutouring ill do my best to dissect your game and give you target areas to work on ^_^

EDIT: Me and Big Man have been chatting. Thinking of possibly running the first one November 16th, month before edmas. Let mw know if ur interested in t hat!

I'd love to go to a few, but i dunno how it'll go down. GCSEs and all; we start doing the real exams a couple of days after the first date you mentioned. I'll probably make it to at least one though ^^.

why we not included, Glasgow is about the same distance from newcastle as Edinburgh and perth is only half an hour further away, we could attend if we can make it right ?

BB : im all open to switching locations. i drive after all, so its easy for me. However, it depends on the venue. My house has three living rooms, 4 x 28 inch tvs and one 21 inch tv. We have a 4 sofas, two sofa beds, double inflatable bed and a spare double mattress.

Basically its comfortable, if other people can offer the same then im up for that!

There's no megabus from manchester to newcastle. there are ones from leeds or sheffield to newcastle if you could get to either of these places cheaply. Should try national express. sometimes they have random offers on.

North v South is a tradition within SDB. Everytime the members of the crew meetup, generally once a month, we divide our crew between two camps. North of England (Generally Yorkshire upwards) vs South of England split between two rival captains me and Jam. North haven't yet to win :(

I was thinking of introducing this into the smash community. We don't have the numbers for England v Scotland anymore, and I think its about time we introduced a new rivalrly. Afterall, we all know theres a north/south divide ^_^

This will be even more obvious when the northern monthlies begin at mine, and Calebs/Pauls Southern biweeklies begin.

Im therefore looking to hold the first North V South crew match at Edmas. 10 v 10 people. Squads looking something like this :

The venue will at my house ! it'll be the same venue all the time. the monthlies are small and will be more closely nit than a tournament. the venue aint going to be rotated as i dont believe that anyone else has the space. its easy for me as its my own house ie i dont live with parents!

Also, Newcastle is in the middle between the southern northerners and the scot ^_^
