SFF Results

Even though the tournament turned out to be weird it gave a lot of fun, and I hope every one enjoyed it. On top of it, it is possible to do it again at the same place and the owner is willing to lend about 30 tvs, so if there's SFF2 expect LOTS of tvs and LOTS of friendlies as long as people brings gamecube + game which can be done even while bussing/metro

I think playing fox and falco is like taking the easy way out, sure it takes time to get the tech skill and combos down, however that just takes practise, many people are able to do it. Now this isn't directed at anybody, just the people who change who they previously mained to play a space animal because it is easier.


And yes this is most likely my falcon playing hatred for space animals coming out and yes this is very random. It is mostly directed at anyone getting on PKM's case about going all falcon in a tournament that is 80% falco and fox.

EDIT - falsefalco, H4 is a peach player from quebec who has a very unique playstyle to say the least...

Okay doing shine combos that gives like 60% of damages yea but how hard is it to get bump off the stage and having a marth that edgeuards you... its easy to get killed by a good falcon if you do any mistake in your teching or eating a random tipper and die?

Ahwell anyways PKM's is as good as us maybe even better cuz he have more experiences...

Getting edgegaurded by marth and eating random tippers happens to everyone. Falcon has one of the easiest recoveries to edgegaurd IMO. It is very hard to sweetspot, completely predictable, this makes it perfect for any character to edgegaurd him. And yeah it's easy to get killed by a good falcon is you mess up your tech but space animals can come right back and rape him twice as hard.

I think that the Low tier tournament was really funny. seing how people do with low tiers isn't something I see often (except for pkm, chet, test, HH)
I got owned due to a lack of experience (zelda wtf)
A lack of experience and a feaaaaar for gorrilas(dk)
a lack of non choking matches as chet do (Link)

and an awesome stress that got through me as I was thinking the tournament would end up crappy. So as long as you enjoyed its fine, and no trash talks, leave it for montreal thread and msn pwease. This is supposed to be a uber friendly tournament. Quiet and fun.

I really loved the fact that TV sounds weren't as high as they were at STYD, this is something we should consider taking care of, as someday I'll run out of tylenol. (got waaaaay lesss of a headache) I took like one pill instead of 4-5, bam took only 1 'stead of 2-3, and pkm 0 'stead of 1

Also thanks to everyone who helped, Cf for checking over the room along with bam while we were on the road for the montrealers. Andy for is laptop and replacing me at the result table. thanks also to chet, test for replacing me a while. Thanks to everybody for being honest while computer was out of my sight. Thanks to fogel who came down a long way and bringed chet, without you I wouldn't have done great matches such as me vs chet link ditto, and Double sheik with fogel at my home to pwn the rest.

If falco and fox are easy to play does that mean I suck hard cause I can't play easy caracters? and should we consider link hard to master? so If I'm really good with link does it cancel the space animal noobness?

woah, I never said that fox and falco are easy to play. I said they are the easy way out. Meaning it's easier to just take fox and win then to try and take link for example, and win. And I by my comment I was not saying that BAM sucks or insulting his skill, cus he is good at this game. I was just commenting on the sudden increase of space animals in tournaments and all around because people change their mains to a space animals because they know that they will have an easier time than with sticking with their previous character.
