Man yesterday was tiring. I woke up at 7AM to set this up and didn't finish unpacking until 3 AM this morning. Here are the full results for all the tourneys:

Seeding was done by splitting up teams and seeding them by how they placed in the 2v2 brackets, with the entrants who weren't in teams being given the remaining low seeds at random.

Finals were tied at 1-1 and nobody cared enough to see who would win so we just stopped and split the prizes.

Halo 2 - :confused: ????????? some guys from Game Crazy appeared and took the whole thing over. It didn't really matter cause they just had their own little world going on in the corner. Didn't bother me because apparently nobody from Smashboards came for Halo anyways (although I think JS joined singles). They didn't even fill out the brackets so I really don't have any idea what happened. Somebody won something? I think??

So all in all it was pretty fun. The meager turnout let us slack a lot more so it was all pretty laidback. Teams took forever cause I have never run RR's before but it turned out just fine. We were missing a bunch of people and thus a bunch of setups, but just about everyone was there for smash so it was more or less just a big smashfest. HJ4 is in the works and we'll try to advertise it a lot more. Although honestly I think having half of our teams be locals isn't bad at all, and I hope those guys we referred to smashboards make their way here soon. And we definitely want HJ4 at a better venue where management isn't jumping down our throats over everything (GC wanted "Thousands of Dollars" worth of revenue from us? WTF?!).

James Sparrow: Wow, teams semifinals was insane on Onett. I was sweating bullets when it was just me and you, fox VS falcon, both at ridiculously high percents. Good job on that forward B into up air finisher.

Zicore: You were a hell of a lot better a partner than you were last time, I was suprised we beat tapion and puffinator in one match.

Really fun, I didn't stay for the DDR and Halo stuff because I suck at those games but I had a great time!

JamesSparrow - Good stuff in teams again. We didn't have any crazy *** comebacks this time, although that last part against kssb was ****ing intense. I was more nervous just watching than I usually am when playing in 1v1. Thanks for helping with the brackets. You forgot your cooler. We emptied its contents, it was only 2 cans of vault but we needed it to stay up til 3 unpacking :laugh:

Chansen - You helped a lot with the brackets, thanks for that. Also, congratulations on having Danondorf on your team and not being the lowest seed.... that's an accomplishment :)

Airy - Saunter to the choppah!! *does the taubsi walk*

Puff - Congrats on 2nd place. I never played you, and it seemed like I never even talked to you. It was like I was unconsciously trying really hard to ingore you. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! (JUST KIDDING !!!!!). Onett owns you.

Tapion - GJ on 1st. Glad you whored out the pizza. I only got to play you once I think, against your falco. We'll have to play more next time :\

KSSB - Sucks to be put into losers bracket and knocked out of loser's by the same person :( :laugh: , but good matches nontheless. I kinda knew I was ****ed with Doc against your marth, and my marth didn't do much better. Guess I'd better actually work on a secondary :) Congrats on 3rd in singles and teams.

Mundungu - Good matches, although I had to rely on chainthrowing in that last one :\ I hated doing it cause you're one of the cooler smashers. Playing you is just less stressful.

Crashman - You should be glad you ddin't show up, you probably would have been stomped by JS and Ruth in DDR, and then you would have been tied with James, the guy who has only played DDR twice before.

Toecutter - (Why am I shouting out to people who werent there?) You missed Ricky the Raptor. He was seriously there.

Ethan "Gay" Grier - I owned that bus that cut me off. Good job placing above Heath, although it's really just an inconsistency in the brackets that let you play more matches, haha.

Local guys/girl - get a hold of me if you want to smash. The only guy I actually talked to about this was the guy who thought West Bend was "From around here", haha. Anyways, we need more people to smash with regularly :(

I was pretty impressed with the locals by the way. Team J was not bad at all for being completely isolated from the community. They even beat Tap and Puff once in the Round Robins ;)

I had a good time and am glad I went. John said he was glad h went too. Hopefully team J will make more appearances in some other tournaments, but I think we'll avoid the 1v1 where we both did very poorly. :p It was fun to play people better than us though as I'm sure it'll help us improve for next time.

Tapion: Grats on 1st on singles and teams. As always, it was fun to play you in all those friendlies, and learned a lot. I especially learned to fear the fox dash attack combos!:laugh:

Puffinator: It was good to finally see you at a tournament. Those were fun friendlies, your puff is too good against space animals. Low percent KOs FTW.

KSSB: Fun friendles. I need all the marth practice I can get. You must have 3 stocked me every time we played...

Zicore: Teams matches were too funny. You've got the best downsmash I played against. I just couldn't avoid it in teams.:dizzy:

Marth101: Those team matches were too good. We had a lot of trouble at first, but after the first few matches, we got it down. We almost never killed each other toward the end. Hope to team with you some other time.

Chansen: Sorry I didn't get to play you in Guitar Hero. I'll play you some other time!

James Sparrow: We only played twice, but those matches were the closest I played all day. We need to play some more friendlies, those were too close!

Spikes: I didn't play you much, except in the singles brackets. Still, that match was just as close and fun as last time we played. Hope to play you again soon.

Eighteenspikes and Airy: This tournament was still well run and fun even though we only had four setups to work with. It was definately a much more laid back tournament than others I've been too. Good job on keeping this together even with the low turnout!

I know my friend tony and I had a lot of fun. Being this was our first time coming to one of these events we really weren't sure what to expect and I'm glad to see most people were better than us.

In case you were wondering I was the skinny kid in the pink floyd shirt, my name is chase, who played fox, minus the few matches I played as luigi, and my friend tony had the beer shirt and played falco.

I did pretty good in the singles considering I've never played people at this level before but I still have a lot to learn and I plan on coming to as many of these kinds of events as I can.

that would be pretty cool and my buddy tony likes the idea of learning a thing or two about the doc heh. We also don't mind driving a ways if it involes some smash.

i forgot to make a shoutout post so here it is... (i know it's like 2 weeks after)

Chansen: i really think if you put your mind to it you'd get soo much better at smash, you've got a lot of good anticipation and mind game skills that i think are being held back by a slight lack of technical skill. oh and then there's the whole not caring thing too. oh well good work with halo tourney and stuff, and guitar heroes.

Tapion: thanks so much for all the friendlies, the only way to get better at something is to learn from those who are better than you, and you certainly fit that profile for me. good job on winning... well, everything. and p.s. you're good at guitar heroes.

Ethan: if byes counted as wins i would not have placed below you. your improvements in tech skill are mindblowing. good job.

Mundungu: I really enjoyed our matches too, close matches are the best matches. our 2v2 matches in the tourny were crazy too, you guys had me very worried. i watched a lot of you and ethan playing in teams and the space animals were looking good.

Puffinator: awesome work again, idk what it is but your jiggly is invincible. i must have thrown about 9000 turnips on FOD... then i started hoping the time would run out and we'd go to sudden death. unfortunately for me, you're good. next time we're playing yugioh.

KSSB: gah i wish i could have played you in the 1v1 tourny. i would have if freakin spikes wouldn't have 1 stock - 150%'d me twice before playing you. our 2v2 stuff was so crazy. i couldn't feel my legs for about 5 minutes after that onnet game. very good stuff.

Chase: i had a lot of fun playing with you, you should keep coming on these boards and get more involved with the smash scene. i was very impressed with your skill knowing that you aren't very involved.

Everyone else who came and isn't on the boards: that's very cool that you came and i liked to see people that aren't on this website. though i do think you should join the site and get aquainted with the scene. it's fun.

oh and i was in the halo2 singles tournament. i haven't played since i started playing smash a lot in like november or whatever (actually i started playing smash a lot when my xboxlive subscription ran out). i almost won my only game... i was up by one with 15 seconds left and i was camping to try and beat the clock. then the guy killed me and somehow i spawned directly into his sniper rifle's crosshairs and i died again. bam i lose. it sucked.

shoutout to the halo guys: i have no clue who the hell you guys are, but it was so funny watching all of you play. all the arnold impressions flying back and forth. i couldn't stop laughing.
