Gold Coast Biweekly Smashfests

At the last smashfest on the Gold Coast held at Radiance's, we discussed and agreed that starting a biweekly schedule would be a good thing to help improve our skills.

Just now I have discovered that there is to be a smashfest with 'Tech Team' and because it was posted roughly 1 or 2 days before hand -> I missed it.

So to prevent this from happening in future to any of us I have created this thread for the Gold Coast guys to discuss and hopefully initiate a biweekly smashfest schedule.

Possible holders:

*Sieg00 - Arundel
*Home equipment: 2 TV's and a GC
*Max -> 4-5 people

*Radiance - Coomera <- our best bet for host more often than not since he's got such an awesome house
*Home equipment: 2 TV's and a GC
*Max -> 7-8 people

*undead_moose - Near Runaway Bay
*Home Equipment: TV and a GC
*Max -> 5-6 people

*y0kai - Laborador <- Theres a function room at his mum's complex that you can book out and just have to pay a bond on (Or at least I think so)
*Home Equipment: TV and a GC
*Max -> 10-15 people (Assuming we get the room)

The First Item on the agenda is the notion of a smashfest this Wednesday at Sieg00's because of the Ekka holdiay.

It's really awesome that you thought of this dudes; mega props. However i don't think Tech will be coming to all of these. Well, some of Tech may, but not all of us.

It's quite a distance for all of us to travel. Especially a bi-weekly event. We went to Aaron's coz we were all smash hungry and no-one could host.

But yea cool idea. Maybe this should just turn into the GC thread haha.

@NG7: The idea is that not everybody will be able to make it every week, but the idea is that it is always happening every 2nd weekend, so this way there's no need to try and reorganise your own schedule just to get practice. You can just come to them whenever you please.

So for the smashfest we have:

- undead_moose (Because he needs to get his phone off Radiance)

- possibly y0kai

I won't be going because I have an interview with Big W.

Plus it's cool since we get the GC show holiday on Friday, so we can have some smash all round.

I wasn't sure but i am getting the imperssion that you guys weren't fully informed about SQUAT 3 so i thought id post here to assuage any fears you have about coming up to brisbane and anything else you might be worried about...

I apologise if the organisation isn't totally up to scratch but we have everything under control Syke just hasn't related it to well in the thread

WE have the hall tull 6pm but i don't expect it to take that long....

Yes the valley can be a seedy place and i heard you guys had a bad experience last time you were there.... Im sorry about that..... But this time will be different....

First of all the Venue is no where near the seedy part of hte valley.... The trainstation however is.... So i will walk you guys to and from wherever you need to go so that you are not by yourselves. I will make sure everything goes smoothly and that you guys have nothing to fear. If you need i can drive you all to Central so you can catch a train from there if its easier....

Post if you are confirmed in the squat thread so we can keep a track on numbers



I promise you will all have a good time. Any questions or anything... or anything you want me to do to make it easier for you guys to get there or back just ask and ill see what i can do!
