Hopefully we will have marche laptop computer available to us this time, which will make things much easier then pieces of paper.
I'll look for a program on the internet, but if worst comes to worst and its tournmanet day, then everything will have to become a manual paper setup, but it isnt like that is hard with the amount of people we have.

I would actually really like to know what program Sam was using for the other tournaments, so if any melbourne people read this, could you pls tell?

It is possible to seed the pools to a point, but I am going for random since we have the onset of new arrivals/mixed in with this being the first offical tournament. But if you would really want we could discuss changing it. It is certainly possible.

K, some simple rules to think about:

- Langauge should be considered

- Noise level should be thought about, more so after 9:00pm. I think we will be right here, we weren't so bad at the last one.

BOOB: Bottom of Oz Brawl (Cause it's a much funnier acronym)

lol. dont get your hopes up and think we are all as good as Sloth. we have never really had a tournament before so for most this will be a pretty learning experiance.

The link Phantasmo gave is this place, just to clear things up.
So yeah, if we hold it here the most you need to pay is the 20 dollar entry fee and you can stay. :)

We have the guest loungeroom which will be the "main" room.
It has a big couch like thing, seating for heaps of people.
Room for 2 TVs.
A fridge.
A heater.

We have 4 rooms to stay in. and we are thinking of having a TV in 2 of said rooms.
People coming from afar have first priority on the beds.
Dino, Budgie, Monkey (assuming he is staying at Dino's) and Len can all go home and come back the next morning. I can sleep in my own room and someone can probably sleep in my room (It fits 4, tell the story, Monkey, Chooker or Dungy ;) )
Sloth, N30N, ZTV, Phantasmo, Tom, Dungy and Freeky Beaky have beds. I have 1 fold out bed as well.
There is heaps of floor room in either the "main" room or in any of the 4 said rooms.

Now, Dungy mentioned it would be better having one big room, and I think this may be a good point.
There are houses available for rent, and we may consider using one of these instead.
I'm sure we could lug in some matresses or whatever if there is a lack of beds.
Opinions? What do the people want?

So, Dungy you mentioned you may be able to hire out a camera from your school.
If not we will try and rent one for a week or so from radio rentals.

Well, in the end, multiple rooms or one big room doesn't actually matter.
It is more on the side of cost.

The more we can save the better everything is regardless.
I am pretty sure none of us are overally ever fussy.

Now another thing I have to wonder about is how long are you planning on staying Pha/ztv?

Lets say 15 people = $150 dollar prize pool.
Well, then 10/15 isn't much. Especially if you consider both players will split it between themselves. But it really depends on how much of an importance do people regard teams.

I wouldn't mind see, lets say winning team get about $15 dollars each. As that almost covers entry fee but still allows for a decent amount in singles.
But hey, this is if 15 ppl are able to show up.

I guess we will toss up how much should go where for now, until the actual day in when we will have the exact amount of money we know can be put forth.

But also any thing like hiring a vid camera etc, if it costs, that should be taken out of the entry fee money as well, to help cover any excess expensive someone would concur.

I'd mostly love a vid camera for a montage. Ah. I would so love to make one.

I will ask tommorow about the camera. Also im applying for a house in Launceston tommorow. Its fairly big, So if worse come to worse we could have it there, providing I get the flat that is. Theres plenty of cheap accomodation arround if you dont wanna sleep on my floor. :laugh:

Adam: I couldn't find out the exact rates of that place, but depending on the total length of the stay, depends on how much I can afford. Though as Cat offered, I'm fine with a bed/floor. =)

Well I found out about those Houses for rent and it turns out the shortest term they do is weekends AND its not available that weekend anyway.

Well I guess that means where having it at you place then bob. I really should go to work tommorow and ask for the weekend off. Only problem is I still havent started work yet. There so lame, I havent even got my work clothes yet. But meh, anyway.

I didnt go to school today, as I was still feeling sick (I swear you done something to me on the weekend Bob :laugh:) Which means I was unable to ask them about the video camera. But im going tomorow, as I have to be in there at 4:30 in the morning to buy Falls tickets.

At the moment, You might have to keep chooker and myself apart at the tournament. He now wants to kill me, and vice versa, as he refuses to pay for his half of the Power bill and Carpet cleaning bill. If he would just co-operate and pay his share, it would be all fine, but meh.

By the way I bags your floor tournament night. Did you fix your beanbag that I "supposedly" put a hole in. well according to bidgie I did.

i can bring 2 controllers also. (though one is a wavebird and some people might have a problem with using somthing wireless, but thats a whole noter argument). personally i think its best to byo controller, as they all seem a bit different :)

But I think Monkey/budgie don't own cubes? So, just a few spares is always helpful

Ok, I'm staying for five days so I arive on the 1st of September (thats a Friday) and I leave on the 5th (thats a Tuesday) so that is five nights, are you sure you can put up with me for that long D.J Cat ?. Also I can bring a cube (leads and all), smash, memory card and controler. Depending on how big ZTV's and my bags are I dont know if I can fit my TV in, if the bags can sit in the back seats then I will be able to bring my telly.

It's not a matter of whether or not I can put up with you guys, rather if you are able to.

Like maybe staying at Dungy's or N30ns place for a while.

You might want to stay here on the Firday night before the tourny or with Dungy, or whatever, we will figure it out.

I am hoping that other ppl will offer you places to stay if you want to to travel around a bit more, Dungy is located in Launceston, if you ever go down to Hobart, I am sure me or neon will let you stay over.
Chooker also lives in launceston, but I am unsure on his position, due to him never checking the forums!

Catch me on msn if you want to discuss anything too, I am sure we will try our best to sort out any problems or help you need by sept 1st.

Oh, and as a side question, what sort of alcohol do you like?
