Hey everyone,
The church that I had Twilight of Smash in last May finally got back to me on booking the room. I can book it for either the 19th or the 26th. I'm not going to have it on the 26th since Damax is organizing something in Montreal already, so the 19th would be the date for sure. However, would people actually want to go to another tournament right between 2 Montreal tournaments? I'm going to be charged for the room this time, so we'd need a decent number of people for it to be worthwhile in terms of prizes. A smashfest instead of a tourney is also possible if people don't want to pay tournament entry fees (smashfest would be cheaper).
I'd say we'd need at least 20 people for this to be worth doing. I understand it's a lot of money to travel/pay for tournament entry fees, so that's why I'm asking before actually booking the room. Post if you think you can make it, and vote for either a smashfest or a tourney. I'll wait 2 or 3 days to see if there's enough interest; if yes, I'll book the room, if not, I won't. So, if you're pretty sure you'd be willing to go to a tournament or smashfest in Ottawa on August 19th, post!
