Shout outs.
Km: Thanks for killing everything in team while I did nothing. Lol, *pounds* I didn't get to play you in single at all. :< Too good at taking 1st in everything <3.
Aho: Thanks for helping giving my sheik a test-run lol. Sorry for switching a lot, I tend to relied on Zelda's killing power to get an early KO. And I like how you use Marth's counter to block recovery attempt. Also your sexy short hop Uair, U tilt, Fair, Tip. That was so hot.
Wuwu: Amazing...
Soup: You're the coolest guy I have ever met! Haha, so nice too. You play everyone also. Mad cool.
G-reg: Thanks for running this tourney, >_>;; JYTME didn't do anything cept for saying random stuffs in the mic and forced everyone to hear him.
Aero: I hate playing you, the match takes so long. X_x;; I don't wanna be gay and just throw stuff at you in order to win. Lol so I'm gonna avoid that match up for a while. Your rest skill is so good now lol. You choked on Formula though! Fsmash > Rest sometimes. :[ Nice seeing you again.
Kirbstir: Ahh your Kirby is mad sexy. Lol @ triple short hop lasers. And thank you so much for getting vidjo's autograph for me!!!! Ahh!! You're the most reliable person that I've ever met. ;__;
Plairnkk: Thanks for working my *** off on Friday so that I can warm up for this. XD; Skipping work too. :]
Fod? I forgot your name and your brother.. O_o;; The luigi guy. You two came all the way from North Carolina! Holy crap lol. You and your brother are too good. PS. At one time in our peach ditto match, I got confuse of who I was and start inputting random commands.... X_x;; Lol.
MikeG: Where was you? .__.;;
Chinesah: -.-t
Jytme: Thanks for renting this place out and didn't cancel it at the last minute. Lol but you're so loud, I couldn't concentrate sometimes.
And everyone that I’ve forgoten. I didn't ask for everyone's name ><;;. Sorry, but good **** @ everyone.

Doll is just too **** good. Every time I make an accomplishment he beats it right after *pound* DOLL!
Wuwu: We will play before you leave, even if you have to come to mi casa.
KM, Aho, Greg, Kirbstir: *pound* awesomness.
Chozen1: no yayuhzz
ChozenOne: Thanks for the ride. Next time I see you, you'll have to show me how to deal with Fox.
Formula: is too good indeed. But... BLARGH! I can't believe I screwed up Rest twice after I broke your shield! I would've been 9th! Oh... and if I beat Plairnkk afterwards (probably not)... 7th! (or 5th if I could beat Doll too... XD) Erg... it makes me angry thinking about it.
Doll: No more Zelda! I'll beat you in a tournament match eventually though, just you wait!
CK: GG in crews. Next time, you'll be slaughtered, though. ^^;
Wuwu: wtf why are you so good
Plairnkk: is cool as usual
Kirbster and Aho: kick my ***

Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe
Don't be afraid
What your mind conceives
You should make a stand
Stand up for what you believe
And tonight
We can truly say
Together we're invincible
During the struggle
They will pull us down
But please, please
Let's use this chance
To turn things around
And tonight
We can truly say
Together we're invincible
Do it on your own
It makes no difference to me
What you leave behind
What you choose to be
And whatever they say
Your souls unbreakable
During the struggle
They will pull us down
But please, please
Let's use this chance
To turn things around
And tonight
We can truly say
Together we're invincible
Together we're invincible
During the struggle
They will pull us down
Please, please
Let's use this chance
To turn things around
And tonight
We can truly say
Together we're invincible
Together we're invincible

Great tourny everyone. I just found out how to activate my smashboards account, lol. So I figure now would be a good time to post. It was good to play smash with everyone, great to play some people who use different characters than what I'm used to. Had fun meeting a bunch of new people and hopefully I'll be able to make it to more tournaments, but I've got a lot of practicing before I do my next tournament.
And Rad, man, where were you? I was hoping you would have been there. Actually, were there any SOVA players besides me? Anyways... I'll try to make it to more local tournaments too. Might even try to start hosting them at PARGG again. We'll have to see how the turnouts look.
Oh yeah, and good game to all the people I played. G-reg, unfortunatly for me, I've never fought a good Falcon, so I was really confused trying to figure out what to do against him when his feet are all in my face. And Blue makes me hate the links again, lol. Too many projectiles. And to Soup, Nam (who appearently doesn't like my name) and that other guy whos name I didn't catch because I played my last 3 matches back to back, good game to you guys. Once again, I had fun playing games with you guys.
Last thing, the funniest thing I've heard was when someone asked if the infinite Storm did on Sentinel was banned in MvC2 finals. Things are just as powerful in Smash, why would that be banned?
I only said that 29 was few because:
1: Jtyme predicted more
2: The ccx tournies had like 70.
Whatever.

29 is pretty good considering how many times jtyme has screwed over the smash community. probably shoulda lowered the venue even more since smasher got this done in a day :dizzy:

Hey, stop all the JYTME hate here. Sure, he messed up one time that I remember, but I'm sure he saw that he made a mistake. 29 is kinda low I guess, there weren't really as many people in general as I thought there would be. And unfortunatly, I won't be able to make it to a tournament Thursday, I close at work :( It figures I'd be working during another Smash tourny... what luck. I dunno, just keep me posted on tournaments, I'll try to check here more often too. I wanna play more assuming I have the money at the time. So... be nice to JTYME, he's a cool guy when he wants to be.

To the 29 out of the supposed 50 smashers that said they'd come but actually came, thanks! I had a blast watching (when I could) some quality Smash. Good job to the placers, and thanks g-reg for running things :)
To the people still complaining about the venue fee, stop crying. Did you not see the venue and all that was provided? I'd have paid $20 for that. Even though ya'll finished on Saturday, Jinmaster said that you could come back for all day casuals on Sunday (which some of ya'll did).
I'm fairly disappointed though. Before I was hearing all this nonsense about knocking the venue fee down and letting somebody else run the tournament would bring at least 50 smashers in. All this was done, and barely half the amount showed. I understand the reservations, but if you're going to mouth about something, follow through with it.
I also saw a lot of people talking like they were grown, but kept to themselves in the back. Weak :/
All in all though, ya'll were hella solid. I was running back and forth with Tekken, giving directions, and running brackets so I didn't have the time I wanted (I missed Fruits Basket and Blue Gender in the viewing room :(). From when I could buy a minute to stop over and watch, I was impressed. I haven't really been exposed to tournament level Smash play, and I don't know enough about the game to understand just from watching a match video. Getting to see it in person definitely was a treat.
Hopefully next time we can see the final 8 play up on stage. I was looking forward to that in particular :)

afaik, ya'll finished up on Saturday. I'm not sure if Jinmaster was informed that that was the plan, but when he mentioned it he seemed surprised. Don't want to put words in his mouth though, so take that with a grain of salt.
I know there would have been some love shown for some SSBM on the big screen, even by haters. That bee/grasshopper fight outside got much respect O_O

why are you trying to pin it on us that people didn't show up? the only reason 29 people came total, was because WE (g-reg) took the initiative. Without him, nobody would have came and you would'nt have gotten **** for your venue fee, so please you stop crying. How would we have dealt with 50 people anyway, as you couldn't provide us with the tv's to get 29 of us through efficiently? Vtyme was scheduled the same exact day as MLG, one of the biggest smash events in the country, the way I see it you're lucky 29 showed up period. This tournament was good for a Jinmaster tournament, but still far worse than the average MD/VA tournament.

lets all chill out for sec. i ended the tourney early because i spoke with a few of the top 8 placers, and they told me that most of them couldnt make it on sunday. that is why i ended it early. sorry to anyone hoping for melee on the big screen. maybe next time we can do it.
and yes i did say 50+ people would come, but that was before i knew MLG scheduled an event on the same weekend. thats at least 10+ people right there, plus i can think of nearly 20 more people who i have seen at local tournies throughout the summer, who just decided not to show up for their own various reasons out of my control. im sure 29+ people payed the venue fee tho, giving jtyme a nice $300+ for melee, so im sure smash did more good than harm. thanks once again, i like the location at GMU and would do it again if the opportunity arose.
J TYME!!

Thanks everyone who came out.
G- Regulate - Thank you for helping out with my event. I hope everyone had a great time. I tried to 'save face' as much as possible with the smash community. Hopefully next time I run a tournament, it will be a bigger turnout. But none the less, I am very happy.
Again, thanks to everyone who came out.

I didn't organize it. I didn't receive any of the venue fee. All I did was compete and run brackets. If $15 is just too much for you, get a job. I would have easily dropped $20 for that venue. Convenient snack bar, big screen matches, plenty of space, the anime viewing; GMU was absolutely amazing. The only tournament I've been to that had a better venue was Evo2k5, and that was at a 4-star resort & spa with a casino in it.
How many Gamecubes did ya'll bring? I counted 3-4. For 29 people. Tekken 5 had 2-3 TVs for 56 people. Buck up there soldier.
You obviously misread my post, and for your lack of comprehension I apologize.
I didn't blame the attendees. Quite the opposite. I praised those who attended. Please actually take the time to read before doing so.
Once again though, a huge thanks to g-regulate for doing a solid job with running the brackets. I figured some of the top 8 couldn't be there the next day. Ya'll should've asked if you could've gotten on that big screen!
Hey everyone, I had a great time and so did my crew from Raleigh (I hope). I placed ****ty but it's cool, I still get nervous during tourney matches. I actually lost to fear the donkey, and he didn't even play donkey kong. If anyone is ever coming down to NC or somewhere close by message me or AIM me and we can organize a friendly smashfest or something.
Oh and I definitely need to give props to the ice climbers player (blue?) for winning the second draft crew, smashing straight through wuwu and doll. :)

Good **** to everybody I played
I had a good time playing with everybody after the tourney, especially the crew stuff and the teams matches with items on and friendly fire off (old school 2001 baby)
To the fans of the button mashing and the hadoken motion games, you'll get to see hot smash if you live in the MD/NoVA area anyways, with smash most likely being the biggest draw in the area. Turnout wasn't great at vtyme because a) MLG Chicago and b) Jtyme's status in the community, but no johns
Doll, I'm going to win korean bbq someday, I swear
