Great event guys. Things went by very smoothly. Sorry if I missed you name in the teams, I lost the sheet with everyones name on it :-/. But anyway get ready for the next event on the 24th. I talked to Rod and it looks like the gamefest will either be the 18th (right after Gauntlet) or the 30th. I'm pushing for before the next event though. Also it seems likely that any players who attended this event who also goto the next event will recieve a sponsored gift (Geltabs, Gamer Graffix, tshirts, etc) We are still sorting out what prizes to give away more info as it comes.

NEW RULE!!! Due to constant problems with people coming in late I have instituted a BUY-IN. Registration is open 11 AM to 12:30 PM. From 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM is the grace period. Anyone coming in at this time won't have to pay extra but may have to forfeit seeding or placement, or may not get in at all if the pools/brackets are full. Any players coming after 1 PM can still enter the tourny (same situation as stated in the previous sentence) BUT will be required to pay an extra $5 per event to enter (IE for singles and teams would now be $40). No buy-ins will be accepted after the 2nd round of the loser's bracket has finished for the event the player wants to enter. KEEP THIS IN MIND!!! Also I will no longer be accepting calls from players "on their way". If you are not physically there to enter I'm not going to put you in. You can, however, pre-register with me VIA email or PM no less that 2 days(IE not the day before or day of) prior to the event so I can add you to the roster. Players who do this will not be penalized for coming late, but if you are not present for your matches you will forfeit them (and possibly DQ yourself from the tournament).

Lord Knight usually plays Roy, but his Roy was off that day. Except against my Sheik. XD But I managed to win the set when I switched to Peach, which surprised me. Lord Knight's better than me.

You stick to a solid ground game against a Sheik with Jigglypuff. Wavedash around sometimes, keep your guard up, and try to lure the Sheik into an up tilt then rest her. Or you could rest the Sheik out of a shielded dash attack.

I beat him pretty soundly in pools, but I think that's only because Sheik rapes Marth. He's not as rusty as I thought he would be. He rapes space animals pretty hard, so he got up to a nice placing. I also saw him do well against Wes. GJ, Emblem Lord.

Tetra: All our matches were close. And I'm glad I made a player of your caliber sweat. It means I'm getting better myself. I'm especially proud that my Marth could compete with such an awesome Shiek. I'm moving on up the ranks.

Wes: You always make me laugh. You destroyed me the first round but then the second match was actually close. I guess that advice you gave me really helped. You always come late to tournies though. Tsk Tsk. lol. Good seeing you again after 4 months.

Sol: You almost had me with your Shiek. Good games man. I really enjoyed playing you.

Public enemy Number 1: It was your first tourney man. Don't sweat it. We got 5th in teams so you should be proud of that. Keep up your training man and keep going to tournies and you'll be good before you know it.
