I am talking about those cut-scene attacks

I am very impressed with the characters , stages, use of the gamecube controller, online, and music. The game looks incredible. I feared the worst, but it looks like it is going to be the best.

However, I have played Mario Tennis and Mario Soccer; two games that look fast paced, until you actually play them. It is not because the overall gameplay is slow, but the cutscenes, make the game slow, frustrating, and returnable.

It seems that once you collect a smash coin, you can go into a super move.

My question is, Is the "smash coin" an item. And if not will it be able to be turned off.

Much smaller side note, I hope that stage interference will be toned down or able to be turned off in this version.

PLEASE LOCK IT WAS DIFFICULT FINDING A THREAD ABOUT THIS

The scene just before he grabbed the coin seemed to be the start of a cutscene...then again, the whole trailer flowed so smoothly its hard to tell! I would imagine that it IS an item, since you would have to have limited use for such attacks! (All of their attacks looked devastating! Kirby's Cook looked awesome!). Either that, or they will add some sort of a "super meter" or something....which I believe will be able to be turned off. Everything else about the game has had the ability to be edited, so why not super attacks?

From what I saw, there were 3 "supers" 1 huge fire attack by mario, 1 huge blast from samus, and linki's triforce slash attack. I really hope these aren't part of gameplay. These, along with snake will just F up competitive smash.

Yeh, I don't want any cutscenes right in the middle of a battle jsut cause someone is using some overpowered attack.. Oh well, just gotta wait and see now..

I think there are not going to be cutscene moves, I think is just supermoves whitout pausing the action

I hope you can "sabe" the supermoves for lather rather than doing them at the second you get the coin

More than likely, the SSB logo is an item.

I could tell after watching a couple times what was GamePlay and what was cut-scene. The super-moves look cool, especially Mario's "FireFlowerdouken"(Officialy the name i'll call it before the real name is released.)

haha, im almost 100% sure that they arent going to have cutscenes while doing those super technique (after obtaining the smash orb) i just think its gonna be part of the gameplay and maybe they might make it so other players on the arena can interrupt super techniques. idk but i dont think anyone can be sure with so little info from the game development sector

I am fairly certain that there won't be cutscenes for those super attacks. After all, in melee when you get Ho oh or Lugia or someone like that in a pokeball there wasn't a cutscene, even though I would say that those do qualify as "super attacks." Otherwise gameplay would become too unbalanced since it would be impossible to dodge these attacks.

Put me on the "there probably won't be any of those cutscenes in the game, they were just for show" bus.

Well let's just hope that the icon is in fact an item, and if it is then we all know it can be turned off.

I hope it's an optional item, although they may have it as an item that's always there, just to enhance gameplay, it's not like it's going to be considered spamming or unfair, like other items.

FOR PEOPLE WHO THOUGHT THEY WERE CUTSCENES:

Those attacks do not have to freeze gameplay
Mario: because Kirby jumped once to escape the attack during it, implying he wasn't frozen.
Link: You do realise it's possible to get the camera to follow one person? Use the C-stick in one player mode.
Kirby: Again, the camera looked at him. I'm sure others can continue to fight.
