I thought it did look more like a sword than anything else. But it also was a gun before she brought out the sword. I wonder if there is going to be a weapon option. The same thing happend with pits bow. He broke it into 2 swords.

Pause it, and you can see when ZS Samus is waving around the weapon it bends/curves. It's probably just a mix of a lightsaber and whip.

it be cool if it was a gun when u press certain buttons (it starts out as a gun) and a whip/saber when u press a different set of buttons.

I did notice when i rewatched it that it does bend. I wonder how much of that is bending and how much of that is just light travel. Like the beam sword looks like it does the same thing a little. I mentioned a weapon choise option way back before this stuff came out. I was originally thinking like marth with or with out a sword. But this presents the option to change weapons during game. I think that eventually people would figure out wich is better and only or primarily use that one. Also I am not saying this is the case here but look at ganons sword. This is now an option. Where it can be selected befor or maybe during play. But I also point out ganon because he didnt use his sword. I have a feeling ZS samus would use her light sword.

I wonder if you are right mookie. If you are I wonder how she is going to change weapons. If its possible that you can SHLB a few times and then switch to the sword close up. That would be impressive. MAybe there will be weapon cancle lol. Like decrease the lag of changing the form of the weapon.

what if she just uses the gun for B moves and the beam sword whip for her A moves. I'm sure she won't be as fast as shiek... nintendo I'm sure understands how and why Shiek was over powered and they shouldn't make a similar mistake twice. She'll probablly have morate speed with limited combo ability due to medium knock back and medium after lag.

And for those who've played Zero mission the gun need to be charged to stun effectively... right?

SSBB/Dairantou Smash Bros X seems to like the so called Ivy-effect, a weapon that can be put into different modes (in a fighting game). Pit has his bow which will break into two daggers and Zero Suit Samus might be able to use her gun as a gun as well. It's nice that it looks like it probably won't be instantaneous to switch between the modes.

This puts more depth into the game and also allows for people to develop different styles based on what weapon mode they prefer as well.

since they're adding in a never before seen item(the light sword/whip) i wonder if there's anything else in that instrument of hers...say...a grapple beam function so that she could latch onto walls perhaps...? ADMIT IT!!! IT'D BE COOL!!!

oh man...i assume she'll lose her wall jump ability and her strength huh? but i can see her moving faster than regular samus...but not nearly as strong...

I can see her having insanely powerful melee moves with great knockback, but without the suit being very vulnerable to counter-attack.

yeah i assume she's be kinda light with low physical defense so knocking her back would be easier
