No one expected Solid Snake to be in Brawl. Sega is tight with Nintendo and there is already discussion of it.


I'm pretty sure that they'll end up having Sonic in this new Super Smash Bros. Hopfully we can finally have Sonic fight Mario ;)

Hmm, I remember reading an article on how nintendo was allying with sega, and that sonic would be in the next smash bros but no other sega character.

Well, I read another article that just came out and apperently....
"When asked about the possibility of Sonic the Hedgehod appearing in the game as well, Shigeru Miyamoto said: 'There are probably possibilities for other third parties as well, and it maybe that even know there are corporate discussions going on about including some of these other characters.'"

So anotherwords, many groups probably have a good shot at being in SSBB. Considering Snake got in, who knows what nintendo has in store for us

Sonic is pretty much a given. There was too much talk about him being in Melee for him not to be in Brawl, especially since Miyamoto himself stated that it's possible for a lot of third-party characters to arrive in the next installment of Smash Bros.

I'm no psychic, but I have a feeling I can almost guarantee the likes of him, such as many other third-party companies will ally with the new game.

Keep in mind that Sonic Wild Fire, the Wii exclusive, is supposed to be INCREDIBLE, because it's returning to its roots and not being a 3D platformer like the PS3/360 versions are.

I'm sincerely doubting that Capcom will have Megaman be put into this game simply because he is already in a fighting game. Also, is Sonic even a confirmed character yet? I wouldn't get too excited until he's confirmed because I'm pretty sure people were claiming that he was going to be in Melee and that obviously didn't happen. Though it would be nice...

I wouldn't go as far as Crash, or Rayman. In a way, Snake is somewhat related to Nintendo, in the sense that Twin Snakes was released on the GameCube, and had a handful of Nintendo easter eggs included in the game. Sonic (Sega is joined with Nintendo now), Mega Man (come on, he was BORN on Nintendo) and Pac Man (not only was he on the Nintendo, but he also appeared in the Mario Kart style arcade game that released in Japan.) These guys are factors here. I would keep my eyes on them.

We all know this, but that doesn't mean Snake will be the only third-party character. They have made a ground-breaking descision that has already broke the boundaries of Smash Bros. Miyamoto himself stated that other third party characters were a possibility. I highly doubt he would say that if it weren't true (especially the fact of getting fans hopes up.)

Besides, he wouldn't come right out and tell us whether or not, anyway.

They said Snake got in because the mind behind the game "begged" for him to be included. In other words he wasn't being picky of licencing rights or profit sharing. I'm guessing that all the 3rd party characters that get evaluated with ultimately be decided by those standards. If Sonic doesn't get in, it will be about $$$, not compatibility.

To everyone saying Kojima begged for Snake to be in the game, keep in mind that Yuji Naka himself has said that he wants Sonic and Mario to be in game together. This is the PERFECT outlet.

I would actually be pretty surprised if Sonic is not in this game. Yes, people thought Sonic would be in Melee, but the third-party barrier hadn't been broken yet.

Also, Miyamoto said that they were in talks with other companies. So it may just be that other characters are coming, but the details haven't been hammered out yet.

Im not a big pokemon fan, but I know who Blaziken is. And. He would pwn. If he was there, he would be a fox+captain falcon. All fiery with lots of melee attacks, and Flamethrower and kick attacks. And his Up+A would definately be Sky Uppercut ^_^
