My Guess about the samus with no suit is that she will be somewhat like fox; with weeker, but faster projectiles. I also think that she will overall have much weaker attacks, but overall MUCH faster... Like a shiek with a gun. lol

I say it should be a chane like Sheiks, but she can't lose any of her b moves. Unless they take out the ability to bomb jump or something bombs are essential.

I don't see her being able to bomb jump, considering that she can't lay bombs without her suit. She'll probably have the same basic A moves as Samus, but different B moves and physics (less floaty, lighter, faster, not as slippery, etc).

That makes the most sense out of all presented possibilities at this point. I would sacrifice the morphball bomb in order to get A) more powerful, heavier, and damage resistant Varia Suit Samus and B) a shiek-ish Zero Suit Samus that could cause speedy chaos.

I do wonder how you could postulate that. I mean, if this was 1999 and we saw Shiek and Zelda for SSBM, you would be inclined to think they would be seperate characters too. This obviously isn't the case, thus I implore you to leave this possibility up in the air. The Link's have age difference, and Marth and Roy, C.Falcon and G.Dorf, Falco and Fox, Mario and Luigi, Pichu and Pikachu are all examples of two similar people given their own character. However Shiek and Zelda were combined for the simple reason of them being the same person, I can hardly expect Samus to be different.

I like the fact that she has no suit (or has the option to not have a suit.) Before, Samus had no personality and no emotions. It was all hidden by all that armor. Now we can assume Samus will unleash a more feminine style to her fighting.

I am inclined to believe that ZS Samus will be a new character.

Basing assumption of ZS Samus as spinoff of reg Samus to an analogy of Sheik and Zelda is rather incorrect due to the fact that Samus has been an established character for two games, Zelda/Sheik came in SSBM.

Also, ZS Samus fights with her beamsword/gun/blaster thing, invoking an entire new style of play that is not akin to the regular Samus. There's no possible way of switching suits unless you remove some of Samus' moves (bombs, smash missles, or charge shot). Seeing as how charge shot has already been shown in the trailer (albeit a cutscene), I'm banking on the idea that she's a new character.

Either that or they kicked the regular Samus out.

and that just isn't going to happen.
