View Full Version : Brits interested in going to RoS3 (Sweden): Look here!
Hey guys ^_^ .
The Dutch seem to be making a real effort to get themselves to ROS3. Now, us Brits have always found our way to the swedish tournaments. I think we should repeat that at ROS3 and more! Lets get a really solid UK turnout. If Helios can organise a proper crew tournament, and if the dutch turnout im imagining something along The lines of fc6 regional crews, then we should really get as many of us there as possible aswell as Take the crews seriously.
The UK has always been the underdog at European events, trailing to both Holland and Sweden. I think with the resurgence in our community of late and increasing ability of our players ie Jam and Geek are awesome, the old lion doug has upped his game plus the many new / improvign players I think we have a great chance at beating any team there.
Ive looked into flights. For the English its only £30 return from london stansted -> Gothenburg. Thats helluva cheap! Scots: how d you guys usually make gothenburg? i check ryanair glas -> goth and it was really expensive. However, goign glasgow -> stansted and then stansted -> gothenburg is only £55 return. Still a cheap option.
Also, ive been looking into taken my car and my crew across from Newcastle. So there is the possibility if people wish to either take the ferry with me or when in sweden to go camping for a lil while after the tournament to really take advantage of being abroad. Ill be taken my 7 seater people carrier, anyone up for that? with a car we can actually go look round sweden : )

Zeppo : Good stuff. I know euan is awesome ;) as is Ryan ;) . The veteran mafia three (ryan,geek,euan) will form the cornerstone of team UK. All fooking good players with tonnes of experience!

Meh, venue will be big enough to avoid certain people. If your referring to dan id expect he will be there.
No matter what you cant ge on with everyone. Its just about being civil and avoiding said person. Which is what happens in most cases : )

When is the tournament? If I get good enough then I'll go.
For those unaware ROS3 will be hosted in Gothenburg, Sweden July 4th-7th. ROS3 will be the large European tournament for this Summer as was ROS2 last Summer. For the new guys to the scene it is large tournaments such as this that the community in the UK has lived off for sometime now. We have never had freqeunt UK tournaments.
ROS3 will combine the very best players in europe. Not only this but for the first time in history the Dutch players are going to turn out in force. This includes the majority of their top tier players. Hence, helios is planning a large REGIONAL CREW tournament pitting Sweden v Holland v UK v France. This is dependant on them countries gettingenough players there.
So, im taken it upon myself to organise our side. Lets get as many of us there as possible!
Lastly, we need a UK tournament prior to this for several reasons ;
1. I want to see everyone again ;_;
2. Practice for ROS3
Scott are you serious about using your hall for a UK tournament? want to host SCT5 there or something? June?!

Ed my man im definately down with coming as long as work give me the time off and i have money but by then it shouldnt be a problem and all fronts.Yo Gladam im LOVING the Banner man but seriously youll get your revenge....:D
danny boy : its currently only 30 pound return from stansted =s that is really really cheap! its usually around 70. book asap before it rises!
im going to book sometime this weekend. jam is NOW COMING (last i spoke neway)
looking at flights id say look to be booking for tues 4th - sat 8th to get same flights as the rest of us : )

im going to download, so i need that weekend off, and then there will be that, if worst comes to worst ill work for BT with jamie, and then we get £125 straight off for him recommmending me. fun.
and the pay is like £7 quid an hour, so ill be sorted!
