Okay, forgive my disgusting ignorance on the subject, but I could use a little help here.
I have an Insignia DVD recorder which can record on to just about any format, but I'm using DVD-RW. I also have the option of recording in "Video" and "Video Recording/VR" mode (I'm pretty sure those are the names).
So far, I've just recorded and finalized a few clips in VR mode to test it out. I open the DVD up on my computer, and all that's in there is an .ifo file, a .bup file and a .vro file. I know vaguely what those file names mean, but I also have no idea what to do with them
I've only been able to play .vro file in PowerDVD, Media Player Classic, and Windows Media Player, but it acts funny in that last one. The .ifo file only opens in PowerDVD and has no noticeable differences from the .vro. Neither will export into Windows Movie Maker (not that I really expected them to), and I don't know how to fix that.
Should I have recorded in Video mode? Is there a program I can use to transfer these files into something Movie Maker can use? Any hints about DVD recording in general you'd like to give me? Is what I'm trying to do even possible :ohwell: ?
Any help is much appreciated!
