Here's my current situation:
I dont have a TV in my dorm room, so I've been trying to get my GC to play on my laptop (just so I can play smash in my room when I'm not at home, and maybe record some battles here with the Austin people). I used to have a desktop with a TV Card in it that would let me play smash (without lag), but I cant seem to set it up with my laptop.
What I have currently:
My Laptop (HP Pavilion zd8000)
External USB TV Card (this (http://www.techexcess.net/hp-dual-tv-tuner-digital-video-recorder-377553-001-avc-3610-hp.aspx) came with my laptop)
S-Video port on my laptop
My laptop didn't come with any software to actually use the USB TV Card. I assumed that it was suposed to be used with Windows Media Center which came preinstalled, but it just doesn't work with the TV Card it came with (atleast not for connecting with the GC). So three things:
1) Is there software that could possibly work with my USB TV Card to let me connect my GC to my Laptop?
2) I can actually watch TV on my laptop with the external card, but it lags 2-3 seconds from the singal, so if I do connect to my GC through the TV (instead of the red, yellow, white wires) I'm afraid it will be unplayable because of lag. Would there be a way to getting the signal from the GC to my laptop via the S-Video port in the back? If so, what software would I need?
3) Is there any other possible way I could get smash on my laptop without lag?
