Hi,
I'm a long time smasher, first time poster and thinking of making a couple of videos. However I really want my videos to look as good as I can possibly make them. I've seen other videos around with clips of text (No video but rather you see a screen of text which refers to something in the video), text bars and pictures edited in over the top; especially in the IC videos ' Avalanche ' and ' Double Vision '
I want to know how it is done and what I'll need to do it. I'll be very appreciative of any help you can give.
Thanks in advance,
BB.

Well I have the feeling neadlt didn't use Windows Move Maker buttt im guessing you have some kinda captrure device and usually with that comes with its own editing program. I dont know how much editing and such on a regular match but if its more abstract like a combo/instructive/misc. then yeah I'd say just get your video clips onto the timeline in your editing software first.
do your placement, trimming clips, add music, synching, all before you start doing titles and captions in the middle of your video. it would definatly help in oranization. this doesn't mean you can make your intro or credits right away. just make sure you save and experiment the different options. if not then dont save it again =P

At the moment I use VirtualDubMod for any editing, although that's always clipping files. I use Wavepad for sound.
Knowing the subtitles and stuff would be ace, but credits and title screens and stuff at the moment would be all I'd really need to know. It's mainly for a future video I have planned.
Question: Is it possible to insert picture files (JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG ect.) as actual frames in a video? If so, how?
