Videos Lagging

So I taped a few matches using the good ol' digi-camcorder. They look beautiful and run smoothly... on the camcorder. However, whenever I upload them to the computer, the video almost lags, and is about .7x the actual game speed. Also, the quality has greatly diminished, even though I have it set to the highest quality possible.

What can I do to fix this? Programs/Settings/Etc?

I had the same problem, did you render it first? It requires a lot of power to play the footage back in your editing program. Only worry if your final product is looks crappy.

And yes, the final product still lags. I tried it out to see if it was just the preview, but it wasn't.

My digicam recorder looks like it records awesomely, but then when put onto my computer, its a crappy resolution with lower frame rate. Most digicams don't record reliable video footage.

However, in some cases, peoples' computers suck too much to play awesomely high-quality videos. My friend's computer consistently lags when it plays high-res Lost episodes, so this might be another possibility. If you have 512+ megs of ram, p4+/ok ahtlon proccessor and a video card with 200+Mhz of core clock speed, you shouldn't have this problem.

Try recording at the lowest possible settings and see if it doesn't lag. If it doesn't, you can either conclude that your digicam isn't that good at capturing high quality video, or your computer sucks. If it lags no matter what, then its probably just your digicam.
