So Im trying to align a specific point of the background song to a specific point on the ssbm clip. So, I used markers mark those points on the song and clip, but I can't seem to align the markers so that they are aligned perfectly, is there a way to perfectly align markers rather then by doing it by eye? Also, when I watch the playback of my progress, the quality of the song and video are poor, is that just a comp speed thing or is that going to be the quality of the final product?

You have to time everything by eye. Even if there was a program that alligned it according to footage it would be sloppily done and would be worse than manual configurating it.

The end product will be different. Press Enter to have every clip "fix" itself. I forgot the correct word but it should make it smoother and it should playback much better.

Yes, actually, but you might want to -render- (pressing enter will render your clips in the sequence for you) before you do this:

Depending on the version of Premiere you have (I'm using Pro 2.0), you may or may not have this valuable tool:

Play your video with spacebar after the clips have been rendered, and each time you click this little button, it will put an unnumbered marker at that exact point in the timeline. If you have good rhythm, this is exTREMELY helpful when you're matching beats to clips of video.

What you're viewing is real-time playback, and watching real-time video edits takes a LOT of computer power to be smooth and good-looking. The appearance will not be your final product, don't worry.

These are the only real-time playback quality settings you can deal with that will help when watching un-rendered video edits. Right click the viewing monitor and these menus should come up. I find that the 100% size has a smoother playback than an awkward percentage (like 'fit'), but the smaller the video, usually the smoother the playback.
