Yes, yes, I know you're all anxious to see the great FastFox in action, but I have a few problems I need to overcome first. One, when I hook my camera up to my computer via USB cord, the videos are all in .MOV format (this format ONLY runs with quicktime). Therefore, I cannot get it into any editing programs, such as VirtualDub or Windows Movie Maker. So, right now I am looking for a video converter to convert these .MOV files to .WMV files. I have found numerous, but keep running into the same problem. The watermark placed on the video after conversion because of the fact that it is a free trial. Now, I have searched high and low for one that doesn't do this, but havn't been having great luck. Please guys, post if you know anything that could help me out.

BTW: The videos will be horrible quality due to the fact that I am using a digital camera.. :ohwell: But hey, It's a start.

Thanks.

in adoble premiere, you can convert the .mov to .mpeg or .avi, then in ulead studio, you can convert it to .wmv, but im assuming not everyone has these programs.

What size are the original .MOV files? I know that newer cameras would probably capture videos at high bitrates and resolutions, but some of the older ones can produce a 3 minute video at like 60mb. Otherwise... I would usually try ImTOO MPEG encoder, or maybe WinAVI.

You can get a 30 day free trial of ulead video studio from download.com, thats a good site you may even be able to find a converter without a watermark though highly unlikely.

Hmm.. Thanks.. I did find a converter with a watermark, however it is quite small and in the corner. I have tried WinAvi, but that doesn't convert .MOV's.

Besides the topic of converters, does the quality necessarily matter in a video? Like, if you can see everything clearly, then what's the problem?
