Converting MSWMM to wmv etc...

So, I'm having some issues. I finally managed to capture some videos of gameplay, and the issue isn't editing, it's comverting them from a moviemaker file to a wmv or avi or something in that regard. I haven't been able to find a program that does this, and I've searched movie maker and didn't find a way to export it. BTW, I tried windows media encoder with no luck. I searched through BACH's FAQ (good job man =)) but didn't find an answer.
Any help anywhere?

Go up to file in WMM. Choose "Make video". That's what you need. A moviemaker file is not actual footage, but rather just a file telling what clips should go where, what effects are added, music, etc., so it's not an actual playable file of any sort.
