Qld Smash Tourney/Bi weekly/everything in-between thread

So heres the thread for posting about tourneys, smash meets and such, seeing as how the qld thread is gettin pretty messed up.

First up is this tourney that me and K.K are supposedly organising, we'll post details as it progress's.

Ok first ideas, if a tournement were to take place, would everyone rather a venue, or someones house. (if its a venue it'll cost more)

First of all, i don't really care for tournies unless they're a decent size. Looking at the current QLD scene i wouldn't call it exactly decent. I'm not trying to be an *** or anything lol. I'm just saying if it's just the usual Josh, You, me, Ben and Mitch, there's no real point in trying to organise a big tournament with a venue.

Second, bi-weeklies sound cool. I always like the idea of more smash meets. However, 2 times a week is alot of f*cking smashing, i don't know how that'd work when i go to uni. Though you guys can still hold bi-weeklies without me i guess. But i'll call you a racist from then onwards....

I was thinking more of 1 smash meet at least every 3 weeks, at each others houses, house changes every time.

Us Gold Coast smashers are having a smash meet on the 25th of February, in a hall in Yokai's complex that they usually rent out for stuff like Birthday parties or in our case, Lots of people playing lots of smash.

I'll check with Yokai how big it is, and who knows, maybe some of you guys could come to the coast for some smash.

If you're wondering whereabout's on the Gold Coast, it's Laborador.

Ever been to movie world? I live near movie world in Helensvale, then up the road is Rydius's house, and then up the road some more is Yokai's place in Laborador, near Harbour Town shopping center.

I'd say we'd have between 20 and 30 people. More than enough for a decent tournament. So if anybody ahs any ideas for dates or venues please post. Im more than happy to go venue hunting if neccessary.

Bi-Weeklys sound ****ing cool. As Toai said onne uni starts up im gonna have to cut back on the smashing, but once every two weeks would be great, maybe even once a week, but I dont htink that would work.

I think everyones busy this weekend...... uni is about to start again and stuff.

My timetables awsome.... I have Thursday to Sunday free (not including work) so smash is still in the cards for me. Im gonna go venue hunting soon for a good place for a tourney otherwise I was jsut thinking of completly re-designing my house to accomodate or something.

C.Falcon and Dk have similar games. Hence why many players like AOB, Mikemonkey and Darkrain use them both well. My housemates Nick and G.J are giving me good practise ATM.

Bull your shiek beats mine, we've had like 5 matches and you've only beaten me 1 time. And c.falcon is too hard to play.

LOL I like to play C.Falcon as well. Mainly because i see him as a less technical character, i think learning to play him well would improve my mindgamez. Tho you could say that about most other characters in the game, Falcon is the only one awesome enough for my tastes. Though i'm not that good with him, hehe.

Anyway..... I have a tutorial at uni at 11am on friday, so i either change my timetable and force myself to come on Thursday which is my current day off.... or not smash. CONFLICT! If i did change my timetable i'd have to leave at like 1 to go to uni. Such is life.... I'll work something out maybe.

Oh, and do we really need 2 QLD threads?
