I've always enjoyed watching SSBM combo vids, especially the ones done by DBR (those guys are exceptionally skilled). I recently had a bit of a thought: why are all combo videos done with the focus on only one player? Why are their no team combo videos?

I think that watching such videos would be really sweet to see. I couldn't produce them if I wanted to, but I thought I'd just spread the idea around, and see if anyone thinks they can do that. If you can, it would be really neat to see.

If anyone wants to, they can give an opinion on this idea. If you want to try this, make sure you post it here.

You mean like 2 on 1? 2v2s are hard to focus on one player, making them not very good.

Either 2v2 or 2v1 is fine, but the side doing the comboing has to have 2 players. That would be nice to see in action.

As a side note, it may be preferable to have team attack on for stuff like dead-weight KOs (where you KO someone by throwing another person into him/her). But it is really a matter of preference.

Although I think this is a really good idea, I don't think there are not that many matches that feature these "team comboes" that your looking for. Teams with the most chemistry are the ones that play with each other on a regular basis. At big state/national tournaments, people often form new teams for the occasion.

I'm not saying these team comboes dont exist, but I imagine it would be difficult putting a video together or them.

This actually sounds like a pretty good idea, but the very nature of the SSBM camera makes it seem difficult to execute.

I would like to see some vids along this line, either tense in-match wonder combos or just fun other 2v1 tactics/infinites. There's still a lot of unexplored depth to smash and showing what can be done, whether for fun or to prove a point.

If you really want something like this to get started, the first step would be finding individuals who would be willing to help provide clips and or recording services. Might be a good idea to look around a bit/advertise. After all, that's one of the purposes of this forum.

G-reg and Matt pull off some nice combos in teams. I've seen Ganondorf Dthrow with Greg behind him and knees the opponent. Or someone will be on the edge and Greg will be SHFFLing knees (Within edgeroll range) and Ganondorf is SHFFLing Fairs right in front of the edge. One of them usually lands. :)

in the 2v2 section the thread WTA vs. azen and dave has a very nice team combo (humiliation combo) at the end of their third match using peach (azen) and marth (dave).... they completely tool on i think it was vidjos falco....

Wow, this seems to be a very good Idea. The whole 2v1 tactic thing seems pretty cool.

The main problem is that it's hard to do combos during team matches.

There are some cool 2v1 combos, but nothing more than a 3 or 4 hit combo comes to mind during 2v2 matches.

Teams with the most chemistry are the ones that play with each other.
Haha.

But yeah, sounds like a good idea.

So..... Is anybody going to try this out? If so, can you send me a PM on what the video will be?

Does anyone think they can use some clips from some Ken/Isai fights and make a combo video? That would be really sweet to see in action. Afterall, those two are undefeated in match terms!

Seriously, could someone use some clips (say Ken and Isai clips) and make a combo video out of those? That would be really cool to watch, and I think it would revolutionize tag-team fighting for SSBM.

I think this is a good idea. Caveman and Rob$ are pretty good for some teamwork combos, and i think if this video is made we should use some of their matches. Just a suggestion though.
