Platform dashing and WD out of shield are the best uses that come to mind for Ganon's WD, IMO.

Wavedash helps a lot with Ganon's mobility, and anything you can do that'll make Ganon faster is very important. The WD mindgames also help for getting in Ganon's slower, stronger hits.

Wavelanding (whatever ya wanna call WD'ing from the air) into an f-tilt has the most obscene range ever. Some characters can be comboed by jab WD jab WD jab especially if they don't DI. And everyone can WD off the ledge for and edgehog. And pretty much everytime Ganon leaves the ground, if he's not landing with an L-cancel, it should probably be a waveland to speed him up. Oh and WD back or forward into fsmash is a simple yet effective mindgame if you could call it that I guess. It works because he leans back to smash. Oh and for stages like Dreamland, WD backward off platform off stage to up air is the best edgeguard ever! Well, it's pretty good ^^ That's about all I can think of for now.

Mr. Ganondorf already said what i was going to, wave landing is very useful it moves him far and it goes faster than he can run most people don't see it comming until their already grabbed or hit with their neutral a

Wavedashing is important for Ganon because of his need for speed (lol). Like LaughingMan said, if it makes Ganondorf faster without killing him, do it. Also, in a place like Dreamland (Fountain of Dreams,) you can WD off the stage, and use his Up-Y move as far down as right above the purple gem and still make it back to the stage (wall hugging.)
