hmm so i have this vid of Pika playing Mario. In the vid it shows Pika getting to the edge from ontop of it with up B and sweet spotting it....How did he do that
You just have to watch your angles, it's very hard to time. Very precise, if that's what I think you're talking about.

i understand the post, just listen to wat tope said. it's kinda like fox and falco sweetspotting with the firefox/bird. you definetly have to angle the up b well enought so that u aim right into the edge, blah blah.
yea, renth and kingcore koopa are stupid...
sweetspotting the edge= using an up b to go directly into the edge and therefore grabbing it without having to land on the stage

IF it is like Fox's ^B then you have to do it towards the edge, then hold the direction of the ledge and Pika should grab on to it. So ^B towards the edge, then hold the direction of the ledge while you are moving.

also, you have to be above the ledge to sweetspot. if you are under it, there will be some lag time.

I didnīt know that too I think ^^
Thx
There's actually a difference between 'sweet spotting' the ledge, and 'warping' to it.
'Sweet spotting,' simply means that you grab the edge without your head going above the ledge.
The best example would be Pikachu's second jump if you time it right.
'Warping,' actually means semi teleporting to the ledge. For example look at Mario's and Mr. G&W up+b. They don't seem to grab the ledge at all so it appears as if they 'warp.'
These two get confused all the time.
This was your interesting fact of the day.

Alright So I tried it out, and if I get what your saying, its pretty simple. The easiest way, given is leaves you more vulnerable, but would work one on one for edge hogging, is to roll so you have your back against the edge, then quickattack straight up and back down. You should grab the ledge. That I could do every time. Now, the harder way, but better if there are enemies waiting on the stage is once again rolling backward, then quickattacking straight out off the edge, then back in on the slitest of angles, youll just hit the edge at perfect hanging height. Too high and youll end up back on the stage, too low and youll die. Practice i guess.
