View Full Version : Help with combos using Doc

I'm having a lot of trouble setting up and following up combos with Doctor Mario. I've been trying the down grab u-tilt but I'm not sure what to follow it up by. I'm hoping you guys would have some combos or advice to give me. Any help is gladly appreciated.

Hmmm.....
Try d-throw to utilt (if you use it right the opponent should go up and not horizontal) to uair cape (if possible) to bair.

D-Throw --> U-Tilts ---> Shffl'd U-Airs

It's kinda harder with Doc, seeing as his tilts send to send opponents not straight up, like Mario's. I would suggest practicing with Mario first, then move on to doc. Be sure to follow their DI good while shffl'ing the U-Airs.

I'm working on the shffled u-air combo right now. It's coming out pretty good so far so thanks for all your help.

All in all though he really doesn't combo well as far as most characters go. Most of Doc's combos depend entirely on how your opponent DIs.

Most of Doc's combos start vertically, so the key starters are those that pop opponents above his head.

The dash attack, shffld Uair, cc/jc up-smash, and wd Utilt can be mixed up for effectiveness.

You can down-grab the floaters and up-grab the fastfallers.

The cape can propel an airborne char into a similar position above Doc's head. This also works when it interrupts the jumping animation of grounded chars.

Once the opponent's in that position there's few moves that can't be turned into combos. Ganja.

You need to dashgrab, throw up, and do doc's B Up move.

-_-..... Deeds..im gonna give you then benefit of the doubt and believe that you are just joking...

On topic, at zero damage up-throws to SHFFL uair to grab again works decently. not on good DIers like samus though (or if the player can DI)

depending on the DI shffl uair or bair preferable bair becuase its alot easier to continue into a kill but then again try to mix it up to keep the mind games going.

That said upB should ONLY be used for recovery as of too much lag afterwards unless... your opponent is at a high damage percentage and you know for sure it will hit.
