Ok so im putting 2 topics into one. First of all I have practiced wavedashing a lot and I notice that Luigis wavedash goes a lot further than Roys. Is Roys wavedash suppose to be short or can it be as long as Luigis and maybe im doing something wrong.
The second thing is I need help with Roys B>. I can usually get the first two attacks with no problem but I rarely get the third or fourth or however many attacks there are. So can anyone help me with Roys B> timing. Are you suppose to hit it as fast as you can or is there some timing to it? Thanks for the help guys.

Wavedash List (Traction as well) - Wavedashes are usually performed by jumping, and then the very INSTANT you're in the air (or the frame that you WOULD be in air if you timed it perfectly) you'd jump and then you'd air dodge down-left or down-right to slide across the ground a short distance, usually used for dodging attacks and traveling quickly (like for experts in Target Test and sometimes HRC, and even in real fights with other people) and it's mostly of some use with characters with low traction and ones that jump from the ground quickly (like Luigi, Ice Climbers, Mewtwo, and Marth; those are the main 4 characters to wavedash with).
---The list under this will show Jumping Speed, which is the main other factor or how "good" a character Wavedashes, as the faster you start your jump the quicker you'll be able to do your Wavedash.
---Note, characters that take a while to jump into the air, like Bowser for instance, won't be able to start their wavedash as quickly as fast jumpers, like Sheik and Fox. Fox can start his on frame 4 at earliest (press the buttons needed to do a Wavedash on frame 3 and then it'll effect the next frame of the move, which is frame 4, so then you'll appear to just slide across the ground a short distance without really being in air), while it takes Bowser until, at soonest, frame 9 to start his wavedash. HOWEVER, this wavedash list ONLY measures HOW FAR THE CHARACTERS SLIDE in a wavedash, and THAT'S ALL.
1) Luigi
2) Ice Climbers
3) Mewtwo
4) Marth
5) Yoshi
6) Roy
7-9) Dr. Mario / Mario / Mr. Game & Watch
10) Samus
11) Ness
12) Fox
13) Bowser
14) Falco
15) Young Link
16) Ganondorf
17) DK
18-19) Pikachu / Sheik
20-21) Captain Falcon / Kirby
22) Pichu
23) Jigglypuff
24) Link
25-26) Peach / Zelda
everyone has pretty much different traction so they WD different. but roy's wavedash is stil very long and remember the more horizontal it is the longer the WD is
roy's DED dance is done by doing it at a steady pace, not as fast as you can. exact timing im not sure about

Well since the first two didn't give you a straight awnser and I feel generous, then
Well the first two >B can be pulled off easy, the thrid has to be done like 1 third of a second after the second attack, the fourth can be done like one third of a second right after the third, That is the average time lense, they can be done faster but you can figure it out form there.
Don't expect it to come out when your just mashing tht button.

When using the DED, just press B again when Roy is at the end of his sword swing for the last attack. That's how I originally learned the timing.

Well, I don't know if the DED has specific timing or not but all you have to do is smash all the moves and it will come out. Thats how it works for me. I smash b 4 times in any direction and it will give you a different strike.

You shouldnt just mash the buttons, that wont necessarily produce the combo. Just press b when you see that his sword has swiped. Listen to Rebel581.

Oh ok. Thanks for helping me out guys.
So once you start doing the DED, you dont need to keep hitting B>, just hit B?

You can actually do any direction with B, and it'll produce a different slash. So you can go B>;B^;B>;Bv and that'll produce a different chain of attacks then simply B>;B>;B>;B>. Note that after the first slice, B and B> are identical and, if I remember correctly, there is no Bv on the second slice.

I practiced it and now I can do the 4 hit combo with ease. The thing was there was a timing, kinda like a beat. Rebel, your advice really helped me. Another thing is that I usedto let my thumb get off the B button then hit it again. Now it always on the B button and I just tap it at the right time.
I havent done the B> then B^ and B down and stuff like that. But I can now do B>,B,B,B.
Thanks a lot guys!
Rebel gets +5 cool points.

You dont need to do it with the B button, Ive done it also with the A button. Not sure if its a glitch, but it also seems to work.
