Hmm.. I've noticed that when I use the fsmash with Doc, people seen to run intto the fsmash. Doesit have a longer duration than Marios fsmash?

According to SDM, both Fsmashes hit during frames 12-16.

It would be my guess that your just doing good spacing w/ doc and read your opponent well enough to be able to do that. When I use Mario, I have a pretty good F-smash Sweetspot percentile due to the practice at spacing and timing. As far as I know, it's the same frames, it might just be the people your playing.

I cant quite remember the thread that i saw it in, but SDM did say something about both Doc and Mario having the same frame count for their f-smashes. Im posting on this because i would like to know the exact hit box on doc's f-smash if anyone happens to have this information. Although it looks like the sparks off doc's hand would be the hitbox, im not sure as to whether or not this is true. I know that there isnt a sweetspot at the end of docs hand like marios, but some of doc's f-smashes look like the shouldnt hit but they do.

it seems that doc's does last a little longer than mario's, and it (also to me) seem sto get a little more knockback when aimed downward

There is no Sweetspot for Doc, you just gotta hit em with it. I'm almsost certain is exactly the same as mario w/ the same frames, but shorter range, no sweetspot, and higher damage and knockback

Keep in mind that attacks tilted upward have a different/higher/"farther" trajectory when they connect.

"There is no Sweetspot for Doc".

Doc does have a sweet spot. While marios is located somewhere around the tip of his palm, (not to sure, i dont really play mario too much...) Docs is located behind his palm, and it results in about 2-6 more % and considerably more knockback.

However, after more testing i found that when angled up, the sweetspot can actually do up to 20% uncharged, instead of 18% if it wasnt angled. An up angled f-smash does 1% more than a normal f-smash, but a sweetspotted, up angled f-smash does 2% more than just a regular sweetspotted f-smash. Not that this has much bearing on how to play doc, but the up-angled sweetspotter has amazing knockback, and for some reason seemed to have the same weird trajectory as roy's counter. I hit a marth last night with this, and soon after he flew over the edge, his trajectory went down at a very extream angle.

The only time I've ever seen a Doc do more damage is when you tilt the F-Smash upward, resulting in more damage which is about 5% like you said, and more knockback as FalseFalco stated. I'm very confident there is no difference of where it connects to the palm provided your not tilting it. Tilting it upward is the only way I know of to deal more damage w/ more knockback. Tilting it lower is also useful as it can get under sheilds.

No, he is right. Think of the sweetspot as his wrist. Of course Doc's fsmash is strong no matter where it hits...

fsmash shieks needles with a fmsash from doc angled upwards when she throws them down at you at that angle.lol wierd stuff.
