DED uses (roy)

I got yet another question for today on Roy (bored at work). I've been practicing his DED and I can pull off the combos but I'm not sure when to use it in combat. Do you use it to start combat or defend or what? It seems that, even though his DED is great, there's always something more effective to do.

In short: When do you use DED?

but i use it to edege guard sometimes bc if u get that last hit its over but other than that i
just use it for fun and for variety

DED is mostly offensive. You can combo most non floaty characters efficiently. And while you are doing it, watch to see how they are responding to it. If they are CCing, then use that CCkiller on the 3rd hit. If they are shielding, then stop and wavedash out. Ya dont want to get grabbed, expecially chain grabbed.

Just try keep on practicing with it, but dont just use DED only. Remember the tilts, grabs, fsmash, and fair/nair/upair

just remember that this is roy's fastest ground attack. so a slight disruption is a possible use

it can also meteor, but this is very difficult to land at high levels of competition

also, i usually only get to the third slash normally. the 4th one is rare, usually only if they are DIing towards you or something
