Tounaments in Sydney

Gee i'ts been a while since i came to this forum...anyway on to the subject. I know sydney is very quiet when it comes to SSBM tourneys and probably Video game tourneys in general. I came to ask two questions:

1. Have there been any SSBM tourneys in Sydney this year cause I've heard that there might have been one?
2. Would any of you guys know if there are any upcoming tourneys going around in Sydney I would like to see the cometition.

Well as it is currently there have been no 'major' tourments in Sydney with top players etc..

But the curret situation seems to be that Caotic (the main organiser for ssbm tourments in Melbourme, who is also leaving T_T) wants the Sydney scene to burst up by having tourments there.

If this goes ahead, expect tourments in Sydney in the future, other people will know more info, hopefully tourments in which top players will attend. Also myself. But I'm crap. So you know..

But for now, wait and see I guess.

There was a Smash Tournament at Animania this year - Jacblack009 won it. Anyways, Sydney Smash Tournies... You're prolly looking at June/July 2006 @ OHN5 - www.ozhadou.net. If you want one sooner, band up with the Sydney Smashers and get something started. I could help you do that. Nothing's gonna happen if Sydney folks just keep on hoping for Smash Tournies instead of just doing one. It's been what... 4 years now...

lol four years thats like since the game just came off the shelves and everyone went crazy to get it. Hmm the OHN5 tourney sounds interesting might go if I don't have plans for that day :cool: . I wouldnt know so much Sydney smashers personally and i only have like two friends that have the game the rest are like 'PS2 FTW...GCN sucks' as most people who don't have a GCN at all would probably say. Might be nice to host a tourney but im always very busy, not saying that you're not as busy as me but im just saying even though I would like to host a tourney i don't have the time to do it but I can help out.

hello! a sydney smasher wanting competition.
brilliant, a tourny is going down illawarra way in early january if your interested, when this adam dude gives me back my list of smashers i got from this years animania i'd be able to freakin organise things. but alas, he's kept them.

anyway, there is a sydney forum now with a list of smashers if you want me to add you to the list leave your details here or there. my knowledge on the early january tournament is limited but when i know something you will too.
