SMASH EXTRAVAGANZA 2
THE TEXAS SMASH TOURNAMENT OF THE SEASON IS COMING!!
I thought I'd stick this up in the regional zone, so that the texas people who dont' really visit TD can see it and post in it and <3 it and so forth.
After talking to the owner of Stargate for just a few minutes on AIM, i was able to get all the details settled for the location of the tournament, and so everything else followed very quickly! So be sure to read over the details carefully, let me know if I missed something (even a seasoned director like myself can miss things at times http://www.smashboards.com/images/smilies/wink.gif )) and be sure to check out the smashex website at http://www.smashex.com (http://www.smashex.com/) for full details and information.
Smash Extravaganza 1 was a success. Not a huge success, but it was successful! We had 16 people in low tier, 20 in singles and 8 teams. Now, after months of seeking out and developing the Houston Smash community and raising $$ for the next SmashEx with monthly tournaments, I expect at least DOUBLE the turnout of last time.
My projected turnout/goal is 50 people for singles at least. At $10 a piece, that'd be a $500 pot... bigger depending on how much we the organizers can put toward the pot ourselves. That's right, money out of MY POCKET going toward the pot, as much as I can spare. Now is that dedication, or what!? Don't you smashers ever say that fluffy doesn't love you!

Housing
I've been workin' my posterior off trying to find people to house, but um... I guess as of right now, if you want to come in from out of town you can feel free to stay with me. That would be good, because i HIGHLY RECOMMEND CAR-POOLING. The parking situation at Stargate isn't the best, so fit as many people into one car as you can when you go. XD
