I really hope that this is a joke, it has been stastically proven that Marth is better than Roy, For example Roy has worse recovery as he falls fast during sword dances, the tip of his sword is much harder to hit, his throws have less knockback, I could go on for hours but you should really check some of the character stastics.

Ok, seriously, I don't know if you're being serious or not. But if you are, then how old are you? Roy is better because he is stronger and has fire? Please! In a 1 on 1 match ( assuming both players are good) Marth would definitely win. It's about more than just speed. Roy would have enough trouble just trying to get close enough to land a hit. And Roy's power is in the center of his sword right? And it's hard to hit with the center of the sword when you can't get near your opponent right? Ok.

P.S. Fire doesn't mean Jack Diddly Squat. Period.

What does fire have to do with anything???? I'm part pyro and I think Marth kicks. I mean, sure, Roy is fun to use.....well.....just for fun. Who doesn't want to watch some one blow themselves up? Marth on Roy Rant

It has come to my attention that you apparently think that Roy is better than Marth. While this is a worthy statement, and for many months before I became educated, I believed this to be the truth, the statement remains.

MARTH IS BETTER.

See, we have a handy thing called a tier list. It tells us who sucks, and who doesn't. In case you can't read, (get help if your on here and you can't), I'm going to give you a little clue.

Roy is 15th in Tiers.

Marth is 3rd.

Now if this were a twenty-six character marathon, you award prizes for third place. Do you award them for people in 15th place? Nope. The best you'd get for something that low, is a pat on the back for finishing, acid poured in the eyes of your ego and lastly, a nice big L on your forehead as you walk home.

Marth is Faster. Marth is Combo's people beyond 2-3 hits. Marth has a moderately better come back. Marth's sword works in unparadox ways (GET A SPEAR!), and to top it all off, very few characters can combo you into a god**** soul-munching, ego-crushing spike that effectively kills anyone.

Of course, poor, ******* child Roy has none of these weapons at his disposal.

He's like a Caveman with a club. He just hits hard.

So before you think Roy is better.

Before you start to think to even think that Roy is better.

Face the facts.

We know of one good Roy player. We know of a few dozen excellent Marth's.

Now if this was a war, would you join the caveman with a club, or the militia with guns, cannons, tanks and bombers?

Marth is better than Roy. HAL Laboratories dropped him on his skull as an infant and kept doing it until his hair turned red.

Oh man, Marth is much better, and this is coming from a Roy player (I'm sure you guys don't care). The only reasons I use Roy over Marth is because Roy is awesome and I think Marth looks like he should be writing poems about the girl he lost. Theres also the fact that a lot more people use Marth over Roy and I tend to go for the underdog.

I'll admit that Roy is a fun character (especially when the damage ratio is on 2.0, watch 'em fly), but I still have to go with Marth. I played back and forth from character to character one day, and I decided that Marth was the right one for me. And plus, his moves just seem to have that... finesse, you know?
