I'm just starting to use Ganondorf, and I would like to know which moves would be most useful to master. Please help.

I agree with dmac. With ganon, since he's a generally slower character, your opponent will try to take advantage of you. One thing you really have to watch out for is if you miss a f-air or a d-air. They will try to take advantage of the lag and own you. To prevent this, always L-cancel your aireals into ganondorfs jab. This can greatly reduce the chance of anyone taking advantage of the landing lag. Another thing to do with ganondorf is to always use his down B recovery. If you are far away from the stage, you can use down B, jump, then recover. NEVER USE GANONS UP TILT. You will be pwned. Same with the warlock punch. Always try to outsmart your opponent, due to the fact that ganon isnt fast enough to work his way around them. You need to get the opponent to come to you. As far as combos go, whatch the Triforce Of Power, and study the techniques.

I hope I helped.

Use Fair a lot. Use Bair a lot. Use Dair a lot. Use Uair a lot. Use jab after SHFFLed aerials a lot.

There you go. Ganondorf in a nutshell. But seriously, you can read the stickied guide, or just watch Triforce of Power. ToP isn't really how Ganondorf should be played (With all of the reverse Uairs I mean, it's kind of tough to pull off. I suggest sticking with a more simplistic playstyle if you're just starting). But if you can pull it off, go for it. The guide is pretty good with lots of pretty colors which makes it gosu.

well, the first thing you might wanna know is sh fair. with that you can get pretty far, knocking your opponent off the stage, where you'll edgehog, and when the time is right, dair (meteor) them to their doom. Also know that your recovery isn't that hot either, so try to stick to the center, dishing out attacks. Let them come to you, don't always stick to the offense since his slowness makes his attacks quite predictable

I think this would make a good edgeguarding tip for Ganondorf players, let me know what you guys think.

What I have been doing lately is when I send my opponent off the edge, I face my back towards them, jump and double-jump to where I think they will be and Bair them to oblivion. It's fast, unpredictable, and SO much less riskier than Dair or Wizards Foot because you are facing the edge and can snag it with ease.

Pretty handy huh? Give it a shot, and be pleased with the results. Unless I wasn't the first to come up with it, then tell me who did.

There's the Triforce of Power video that you can watch to start off. Well, I'm a Ganondorf user, so the best moves to use are the following:

1) mid-air forward/backward-A
2) forward/backward-B
3) mid-air forward/backward-A
4) mid-air up-A
5) Down-A (two-sided kicks and the meteor kick)
6) Down-B
7) Standard A-button attacks

The advice I can give to master certain attacks, or all, is to time them. Also another is to use the right attacks on certain situations. Good Luck on your training with Ganondorf!

Stand by the edge, grab ur opponent throw that person down, right after that jump and A+down. usually kills them

aw, come on angey you know uair is sexy. though its mainly an edge guarding technique so unless your opponent is off the stage everytime for some reason than i guess you wont have to vary your game. dmac knows the secret tech on playing ganon though.... jab 2 wizards foot (OMG, i just revealed my tournament winning strat).

Your edgeguarding is as sexy as it gets. Seriously, there's no getting around it. But for someone new to Ganondorf, they probably want to get the basics down before spamming reverse vulture kicks to edgeguard their opponent. :)
