Ok, so, we checked out the venue today and we have arranged that ATM2 will happen the 19th of November. We are counting on all Dutchies to train their arses off and own all the foreigners coming.
Some specifics: first the venue. It's a room/hall in De Brinkhoeve (a place that has rooms/halls for rent, obviously) which is located at Kerkstraat 12 in Poortugaal (zip code = 3171 GG, Poortugaal is a small town maybe 10km from Rotterdam), that's for people coming by car or whatever. Those taking advantage of the trains etc, you want to first manage to get on Centraal Station Rotterdam, and from there take the subway to Spijkenisse and get off at station 'Poortugaal'. (There are two different subways, one to Spijkenisse and one to Slinge. Basically the one to Slinge is a shortened version of the one to Spijkenisse, but don't bother, just take the subway to Spijkenisse and get off at station 'Poortugaal). Note that you will need a 'strippenkaart' for the subway (questions about that should be directed to any random Dutchie ^_^). If you all make sure you catch the same subway, you will *most likely* be picked up at station 'Poortugaal'.
We are planning for the tournament to start around 12:00, and it will last to some 22:00h or so (although we can smash on until 24:00 (or 0:00 xD) some people might actually go home before the last train takes off, so...). We will be having singles off course, double elimination ultimately, and pouls or maybe swiss before that.
If time allows, there will be teams and low tier (in that order).
Entry for both singles and teams is 10e per person (so teams = 20e), low tier will cost you 1e. There will also be an overall entrance fee, because we have to pay for the hall, we haven't been through this yet, but it won't be more than 5e. *will update asap*
So the rules will be the same like on the previous ATM. You know, the one with all the cheap cola xD. Oh that's another thing, drinking your own brought drinks is not allowed in the hall (well, room). If you want to drink something inside the building you'll have to buy something at the bar at 1.40e per glass. So to drink your own drinks you'll have to step outside for a moment. Let's hope it doesn't rain.
On the subject of consumption, there's a snackbar at 10m distance from the venue, so, yeah.
Anyway the rules:

The tournament will be Double Elimination, best of 3. Best of 5 in higher rounds
4 Stock, 8 minutes Stocktime.
If the timer runs out the player with the most stock left wins. In case of a stock tie the player with the lowest percentage wins (so the Sudden Death does not count in this case). In case of a percentage tie the Sudden Death is played.
Items are off.
First match in a set the stage is either agreed upon or random. All further matches within a set the loser of the previous match gets to pick stage. However, if a stage has already been played in a set it can only be played a second time if the winner of the previous match agrees to play it again.
The following stages have been taken of random select: Peach's Castle, Rainbow Ride, Kongo Jungle, Jungle Japes, Great Bay, Temple, Brinstar, Brinstar Depths, Yoshi's Island, Green Greens, Corneria, Venom, Poké Floats, Mute City, Big Blue, Onett, Fourside, Mushroom Kingdom, Mushroom Kingdom 2 Icicle Mountain, Flat Zone Kongo Jungle N64 and Yoshi's Island N64.
That leaves just 6 stages on random select: Yoshi's Story, Fountain of Dreams, Pokémon Stadium, Final Destination, Battlefield and Dream Land N64.
Icicle Mountain, Hyrule Temple, Yoshi's Island 64, Brinstar Depths, Fourside, Termina Bay and Big Blue have been banned and can not be picked, ever! All other stages can be picked.

Ok, so, Johnnyboy and myself are ready to prove to all you Swedish/British/French whores that the Dutch scene is far from dead. I hereby challenge all forgeigners to take on our best.
But before this is happening, there's a few things to be cleared up, first of all, the hall we're planning to rent is in the town of Poortugaal, that's easily reachable with the subway from Centraal Station in Rotterdam, but it does require people coming to pay for the subway. It's not much, but it's still 3 'strippen' , a 'strippenkaart' (card with 15 'strippen') costs about 6.80e.
Second of all, if needed, housing might be a slight problem. The tourney will most likely be held on a saturday, and I will be able to house people only from friday evening to sunday evening. That is, if there's any need for housing at all. I don't know if Johnnyboy will be able to house people.
And, we need TVs (and Cubes, but that's never a grand problem). We've got 5 TVs ourselves, and we still have to check how many people will fit in the hall (the number will be somewhere around 40, unless there's is a lot of interest, in which case we'll just have to rent some place bigger). But for 40 people, 5 TVs is a bit few, so if anyone can bring some, that't be awesome (Dave, we all know you've got a driver's license, so no Johnz for you!).
Basically, the same rules as with ATM1 will apply (except for the addition of 5.00e entrance fee, because we have to rent the hall). I will paste those rules here if anything gets confirmed.
We're planning for this to happen maybe somewhere around the ending of November, or the beginning of December.
