how much: $7 per person

prize: 1st place = 60% of the pot
2nd place = 15% of the pot
3rd place = 10% of the pot

Rules:
-Double Elimination
-All matches are best of 3, with finals best of 5.
-4 stock, 10 minute limit
-Ties broken by lives/percentage
-Items OFF

Stages:
-Stages limited to the 7 neutral stages for random, others open for counterpicks.

-Neutral stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, Yoshi's Story, Fountain of Dreams, Rainbow Cruise, Kirby 64, Pokemon Stadium

-Stages banned: Hyrule Temple, Fourside, Flatzone, Brinstar Depths, Icicle Mountain, Yoshi's Island 64, Big Blue, Yoshi's Island (Pipes) and Termina

-Knock-out: Each person knocks out one stage for entire set. This stage must be selected at the beginning of the match, after initial characters have been chosen.

-Advanced Slob Picks - Loser may choose the next stage or elect to go random, then winner may choose to change characters, then loser may change characters

-Double Blind pick may be called at any time

Team Tourny will be held after the singles tourny if enough people show up.
Soda/water and snacks will be avaliable for purchace

the point of random teams is that so the "bad" people have a chance to play with the "good" people side by side, and it also gives them a chance to win. that and it makes it ALOT more challanging for a "good" player to win.

yes if you come to the tourny's you should ALWAYS label it/carry the controller with you at all times, not that someone will steal it, just so that people don't trade off controllers.

I'd like to let people know, that there's a possibility that we'll be doing a low tier tournament after singles this weekend; if there's enough request, we can bring back random teams, but as of the moment, we've got low tier in mind. Practice up your Alternates guys =)

Most of us didn't head to MOAST simply because we had no means with which to do so. One of our best was still in high-school during that time period, and under the iron fisted rule of his parents. I myself didn't feel that the drive to Texas was really worth it. If you'd like to money match Taj, he'd gladly take you on; say 50 dollars?

As for why you haven't heard of us... well, I'm not sure why you haven't heard of us. Probably because we don't post videos of ourselves. If we had, Mookie-rah wouldn't be considered the best mewtwo in the US. If we had, you'd see the most effective "Superscrub" Marth/Jiggs player out there. Perhaps beating Ken's elite 5 and forcing him to play Marth isn't good enough to be heard of. I dunno, but I suppose we'll just have to play you sometime. Perhaps beating the tar outta some people will get us a bit of reputation.
